We all knew this day was coming, and now it's here: Solid Explorer has graduated from beta. As one normally expects, the final version of the application brings several new features to the table:

-Out of Beta, yay!

-Support for Samsung's Multi Window

-Support for subtitles with streaming videos

-Ability to set ringtones

-Busybox included in the app

-Fixed issues with refreshing the gallery

-Optimized package size

-Minor bug fixes and stability improvements

It also brings something else that was quite unexpected: a price tag. What was one a "beta" is now listed as a "trial" - after two weeks with the app, you have to pony up a couple bucks to continue using it. Of course, the dev does deserve to get paid for his work, but this sudden switch has a lot of users upset. Even we, as users (and lovers) of Solid, find this move questionable; why not just transform the beta into a free, ad-based version, and offer a paid ad-free version? That model seems to work quite well for file managers, and gives users the opportunity to willfully show their support instead of being "forced" into paying, because that never bodes well.

Still, if you're a fan of Solid, you can grab it from below.
