Hyperwave

Android Police review: Hyperwave Review: There's A Lot To Like About Lasers

When some big mean mother-hubbard wants to tear you a structurally superfluous new behind, use a gun. If that doesn't work? Use a ginormous frickin' laser. Hyperwave combines classic space shooter gameplay with trippy Tron Legacy-style visuals and music, for a frantic shooting experience that's well worth the low price. If you're looking for old-school gameplay with a fresh coat of paint, download it now.

The battle against the evil aliens invaders continues with Hyperwave. Finally, after over an year, the battle against the evil aliens invaders continues with Hyperwave, the new game of the hyper-series created by the same team of Hyperlight. Hyperwave combines the mechanics of classic arcade games of the old 80’s with those of modern sci-fi shooters, offering a both familiar and innovative gameplay which includes all the elements that make great a traditional shoot 'em up, but reproposed in a different context in which a strong strategic component is added to fast-paced action that we expect from this type of game.

Raiden Legacy

Android Police review: Raiden Legacy Review: A Reminder That Video Games Used To Be Really, Really Hard

If you expect regenerating health, unlimited lives and IAP invulnerability in your games, then Raiden Legacy is not for you. This collection of classic top-down shooters is for gamers who bled their fingers and their pockets trying to get to the last level in a smelly, sticky arcade. Who ground their teeth on Battlezone and Asteroids, and longed for a masochistic experience that would give them calloused thumbs and damaged retinas. Excuse me - I'll be over here, playing Angry Birds.

RAIDEN LEGACY, a four-title compilation of the mega-popular RAIDEN arcade series, includes RAIDEN, RAIDEN FIGHTERS, RAIDEN FIGHTERS 2 & RAIDEN FIGHTERS JET. Originally developed by Seibu Kaihatsu, each of these classic scrolling shooters has not only been authentically recreated for mobile, but also enhanced with brand-new features. Each RAIDEN LEGACY title includes three different modes: “Arcade Mode” (just like the original); “Mission Mode”, which allows you to play any unlocked stage; and “Training Mode”, which, true to its name, allows you to excel at your favorite stages and practice the most difficult ones. 15+ different ships, each with their own characteristics, stats, weapons, and specials. Also, some ships come complete with “charged shots” – useful for when the screen is 90% covered with enemies.

Hamilton's Adventure THD

Android Police review: Hamilton's Great Adventure THD Review: A Puzzle Game That's Heavy On Charm... And Frustration

Go ahead, look at those screenshots without humming the Indiana Jones theme. You can't. It's OK, I forgive you. Hamilton's Great Adventure is a puzzle game that tasks you with guiding the titular character and his feathered friend through various environments, collecting treasure and solving a mystery along the way. You'll need a Tegra machine (and lots of patience) to play. Part two, a separate purchase, can be found here.

Put your problem solving to the test. Collect all the bling to get max score. The action-puzzler Hamilton's Great Adventure, previously released to console and PC, is now made available on Android. It retains the depth and visual quality from the console game while using the unique controls available on tablets to create a new take on a very challenging game. This first part of the Hamilton’s Great Adventure THD takes you through 22 puzzles, located in the steamy jungle of Amazonas or the windy mountain sides of Himalaya.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

Android Police coverage: Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Returns, Now With Play Store Asset Downloads

After a brief takedown to iron out some technical difficulties, the best Grand Theft Auto ever (shut up, you know it's true) is now available on Android. Vice City takes the well-known formula and gives it an acid wash, sending the player back to the 80s to take over the underground world of "I can't believe it's not Miami". If you've never played another Grand THeft game, play this one.

Welcome back to Vice City. Welcome back to the 1980s. From the decade of big hair, excess and pastel suits comes a story of one man's rise to the top of the criminal pile. Vice City, a huge urban sprawl ranging from the beach to the swamps and the glitz to the ghetto, was one of the most varied, complete and alive digital cities ever created. Combining open-world gameplay with a character driven narrative, you arrive in a town brimming with delights and degradation and given the opportunity to take it over as you choose.

Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour

Android Police coverage: [New Game] Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour Available Now For $6.99, Still Wants To Be Call Of Duty When It Grows Up

Modern Combat needs no introduction. Partly because it's a shameless Call of Duty ripoff, but mainly because it's also one of the best and most-loved FPS franchises on Android. Modern Combat 4 uses the mobile version of the Havok engine, which is (perhaps appropriately) the same thing that powers Black Ops 2.

Arm yourself for FPS action. The #1 Action FPS game is back on smartphone with a new chapter to push the boundaries of mobile gaming even further. In the wake of nuclear warfare, the only chance to avoid global devastation is in the hands of the few elite soldiers who must track down and rescue the world’s leaders from a frighteningly familiar terrorist group.

CHAOS RINGS Ω

Android Police review: Running Rings Around Other RPGs: Chaos Rings Omega Review

Yes, it's expensive. Yes, it's huge. Yes, it's clearly a somewhat sloppy iOS port. But Square Enix's Chaos Rings series is bread and butter to Japanese RPG fans, and the latest sequel is no exception. Battles and travel occur in full 3D, with translated voice acting and console-style battle systems. If you love the later Final Fantasy games (which share a lot of developer talent with this series) you'll find Chaos Rings Omega well worth the high price.

The latest version of CHAOS RINGS, the smash-hit and best-selling game in fifteen countries, now comes to Android. CHAOS RINGS Omega is the latest installment in the globally successful CHAOS RINGS series of role-playing games. Players can now enjoy enjoy all of the following on their Android devices: gorgeous 3-D graphics, smooth animations, a classic RPG gameplay feel, refined user interfaces, a rich story that ties in directly to the previously released CHAOS RINGS, and more. As the youthful and daring Vieg, you will take part in epic battles directly related to the CHAOS RINGS story, the tragedies that arose because of them, and a wondrous tale ten millennia in the making.

Broken Sword II Smoking Mirror

Android Police coverage: [New Game] Point-And-Click Legend George Stobbart Returns In Broken Sword II: The Smoking Mirror

Point and click adventures are getting a major comeback on smartphones and tablets, thanks in no small part to the fact that the "click" part has been taken out of the equation. And in that hard-boiled fraternity lies Broken Sword, one of the most beloved adventure series of all time. The original has been available for Android for some time, but now Broken Sword II is yours for the taking (and for four dollars). Too bad it seems to have some compatibility issues at the moment.

‘Broken Sword II – the Smoking Mirror : Remastered’ sees the return of George Stobbart and Nico Collard in the sequel to the smash hit ‘Broken Sword: Director’s Cut’, widely praised as the best adventure available for Android. While investigating a ruthless drug gang, journalist Nico Collard unexpectedly comes across an ancient artefact. Little can she know that the ornately carved obsidian stone will lead her, and her adventuring companion George Stobbart, into a mysterious escapade of intrigue and deceit, in which they must overcome powerful forces and antagonists who will stop at nothing to fulfil their evil ambitions.

ZENONIA® 5

Android Police coverage: [New Game] Once More, With Feeling: Gamevil's Zenonia 5 Available Now With Global Multiplayer

If you've played Zenonia before, you know how this goes: action RPG antics with anime styling. Zenonia 5 is free, like the last two entries, but this time you've got an even greater incentive to shell out for in-app purchases: asynchronous player versus player combat.

Long ago, a great war was fought to restore peace and harmony to mankind. But as the years passed, greed and selfishness corrupted the hearts of man. The elite rich began to exploit the poor and great darkness came over the kingdom. Then, from the ruins of a slum village, rises a hero destined for greatness. Immerse yourself once again in the best action RPG for mobile. Defeat impossible bosses and unravel the mysteries in stunning HD. Play like you’ve never played before as each action sequence syncs in tune with your second by second reflexes and reactions.

Yesterday

Android Police coverage: [New Game] Yesterday Comes To Android, Point-And-Click Noir Adventure Intact

If you're not familiar with Yesterday, you obviously haven't been hanging out in indie game circles. It's a celebrated (and somewhat rare) new entry in the point-and-click adventure genre, complete with a thriller noir story, amnesia, murder, and other fun stuff. The graphics have made their way to Android more or less intact.

The first thriller by the indie studio that created the million-selling Runaway saga. A psycho is killing beggars alive in New York. A Y-shaped scar forms in the hands of seemingly unrelated people. The press and the media just don't care, so Henry White, a young NGO volunteer, will be the first to investigate the crimes with his friend Cooper. They are two of the three playable characters in Yesterday, the third being none other than the enigmatic John Yesterday, who is dragged into this twisted plot after his memory is completely wiped. How far will you go to find out who John Yesterday is? An adult, noir thriller full of unexpected twists and turns.

Creatorverse

Android Police coverage: Creatorverse Takes The Rube Goldberg Machine To The Next Level, Lets You Create Basically Anything You Want And Share It With The World

Physics games are so yesterday. Rules? Goals? Those are for people who can't think outside the box. This seems to be the idea behind Creatorverse, which takes said box, crushes it, explodes it into tiny pieces, then lets you make a skateboarding elephant out of them. Anyone who's ever gotten a kick out of Mousetrap will be entertained, and those who thought that Amazing Alex and Bad Piggies were too limiting will be able to flex their creative muscles.

Set your creations in motion. Become an inventor as you design unique creations and then set them in motion. You’ll never know what to expect as you watch your creations bounce, roll, tilt or even accelerate on the screen. Let your creations come to life as you play with different joints, forces, motors, teleporters, and inputs then watch what happens next. From the simplest bouncing ball to an elaborate pinball machine, the possibilities for tinkering are endless on Creatorverse.

Clay Jam

Android Police coverage: [New Game] Zynga Brings 'Family Friendly Weirdness' To The Play Store With Clay Jam

Normally I'd be the first to slam Zynga for a lack of creativity, but you know what? A game with clay characters and environments is pretty much the first time I've ever seen the Katamari Damacy actually make sense. Well played. Of course, there's still the obligatory in-app purchases - Zynga can't stop being completely evil, after all.

Save the land of Clay Jam from the fearsome Bully Beasts in this fun-packed action game. Guide Fat Pebble as he rolls down five weird and wonderful hills in a world made entirely from clay. Squash monsters on the way, and he'll grow and grow and GROW. Get all the way to the bottom of the hill and meet the nasty Bully Beasts. Can you collect enough clay to free the monsters and save Clay Jam?

DRAGON SLAYER

Android Police coverage: [New Game] Dragon Slayer Is A Magical Showdown Against An Army Of Ancient Reptiles

The dragon battles of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim were, without a doubt, the highlight of the game. So why not cut to the chase and start fileting flying lizards right away? If you like your lizards to fly and your armor to have that nice charred look that's so popular with the squires these days, try Dragon Slayer - but be warned: you'll need pretty fearsome hardware to run it at its best. Also, if you're the kind of Level 40 Druid who knows the difference between a wyvern and a wyrm, you'll enjoy the varied creature design.

Dragon Slayer is a visually spectacular, magic-based combat game. The Dragon Slayers are hunting once again and you have answered the call. Dragon Slayer is a visually spectacular, magic-based combat game that is brought to you by the studio that brought you Blood & Glory and Blood & Glory: Legend. Challenge massive dragons, wyverns, and reptiles as you traverse the map of the fantasy realm. Cast deadly spells and avoid the flaming breath, bite, tail-whip and talons of the Dragon Bosses. Equip magical gauntlets, cloak armor and pets to slay more dragons.

Toy Defense

Android Police coverage: [New Game] Melesta's Toy Defense Comes To Android – Become 'A Truly Great Leader' While Playing With Toys

The Army Men games of the PlayStation era were definitely fun, but they were all along the lines of "shoot everything and then shoot it some more." If you want a thinkin' man's game (with toy soldiers), try Toy Defense, which puts a shiny plastic sheen on the somewhat tired tower defense genre. 24 levels and 9 types of enemy units should... wait, the developer is named Melesta? Um... no comment.

Toy soldiers but real war. Take charge of your army and defend the tower against advancing waves of enemies. Toy Defense is the ultimate simulation experience where you are the one to make the decision and build the line of defense. Lead you army to victory by any means. Use different types of upgradable units available in your arsenal and place them in strategic points along the routes of enemy tanks, transporters and airplanes. Deflect multiple attacks, eliminate foes, improve your strategy and become a truly great leader. Welcome to the world of Toy Defense, tower defense at its finest.

Splice

Android Police coverage: Cipher Prime Studios' Abstract Microbial Puzzler 'Splice' Now Out For Android

What's it like in the lives of the rich and microscopic? Splice aims to find out. In this chill puzzler (a port from the PC) you're tasked with making new forms in a limited number of moves. The game is deceptively simple, but you'll have a hard time beating some of the later puzzles.

Splice is an experimental and artistic puzzler. Immerse yourself in its microbial world and start splicing. Every level ("strand") consists of a number of cells that you will need to rearrange into a target structure in several moves ("splices"). Exploration and experimentation are key in determining how the curious little cells react to each other. Predict the sequence of splices you'll have to make in order to successfully arrange each strand. Re-sequence, mutate, and splice your way through this unique puzzle experience, and you'll exercise your ability to visualize sequential series of shapes over time. Solve your way to the final strands and you'll be left with a heady sense of mental accomplishment.

Jet Set Radio

Android Police review: Jet Set Radio Review: As Funky As Ever, But Controls Are A Grind

If you're a fan of the original Jet Set Radio (Jet Grind Radio in the US), then you've already bought the Android version and plugged in your best headphones. For everyone else, $5 might be worth it for the unique graphics and awesome music, but the game part of this game suffers from some regrettable virtual controls. New to the game are support for camera-based graffiti and swipe spray gestures.

Tag, grind, and trick to the beat in SEGA’s hit game Jet Set Radio. Fight for control of Tokyo-to, mark your turf with graffiti, tag walls, billboards, and even rival gang members. Perform tricks and flips on magnetically driven in-line skates, but watch out for the local police force. Jet Set Radio is now part of Sega’s Heritage Collection Series and features high resolution visuals. Jet Set Radio has been updated with new features specifically for your mobile device. Swipe the screen to apply graffiti and use your device’s camera to take pictures and spray them in game.

Freeze!

Android Police coverage: [New game] Physics Puzzler "Freeze!" Blends Striking Black And White Visuals With Mind-Bending Challenges

Real innovation is thin on the ground in mobile gaming, but Freeze! bucks the trend. Guide your character through a circular maze with the aid of gravity and a freeze time mechanic. It's kind of like those old marble games, plus temporal powers. The visuals are the vanilla icing on the chocolate cake here.

Dare to escape from the prison worlds. Free for a short time only, with the entire first world (25 levels). It was a wonderful day for our anonymous hero, at least until the moment when he was torn from his loved ones by a viciously sharp grappling hook. Locked in a cramped cell on a planet far, far away, our hero could give in to despair and abandon himself to his fate. But with your help he can overcome gravity, turn worlds, and even – escape. Solving the rotating, physics-based puzzles is easy - just use your finger to continuously turn the cell in both directions around our hero. Of course you also have to make clever use of the Freeze. button, which can overcome gravity. Sound simple? It is – at first...

It's finally here! Avengers Initiative is available for one and all on the Play Store (on supported devices, that is)! And it's... kind of okay! This Infinity Blade-inspired fighting game stars the Hulk (and no one else) as he smashes through the B-list of Marvel villainy. Space Hell

What's scarier than hell? How about hell... IN SPACE! (Which is basically the entire plot of the movie Event Horizon, by the way.) OK, so the title's a little lacking, but Space Hell actually looks interesting. Imagine the side-scrolling gameplay of Metroid combined with a little physics game action and some platforming horror, and you're just about there. For an independent title, the graphics looks surprisingly good as well.

Space Hell is a 3D shooter/platformer game. One of the games innovations is to connect 3D graphics with fast 2D physics simulation. High quality physics simulation made it possible to create interesting, interactive environment. Main game character can move objects and destroy them. Thanks to that many unexpected situations may occur, for example after main hero will destroy a bridge that hangs over his enemies, it will fall on them and destroy them. A strong attention to detail is obvious in level and character design. Many special effects has been used like: advanced particle system, light glow, light-mapping.

World at Arms

Since Gameloft has about as much creative juice as a pirated copy of Transformer 2, they've expanded their admittedly abundant technical prowess to an Advance Wars clone. Turn-based strategy is mixed with a post-modern story. Multi-player seems to be missing, but you can borrow and lend units to your friends on Facebook. You know, if you like people to be annoyed at you.

LOCK AND LOAD. The United States of America is under attack by an evil alliance of highly trained forces known as the KRA. As the leader of the free world, YOU have to stand and fight. Build and develop your military base, train your army, and battle against or ally with players from all over the world online in order to defeat the enemy for good.

King Oddball

King Oddball is a living moon, or meteor, or rock creature, or something. His only aim seems to be hurling boulders at humans, via the pure locomotive force of his tongue. This physics-based destruction game might look familiar, but the sheer lunacy of the premise might make it worth a look for a few of you.

End the world with boulders. The King swings a boulder back and forth with his tongue and you get to release it by tapping on the screen. Time the release accurately and crush as many targets as possible with each boulder. Simple, but surprisingly addicting. You'll get shiny extra boulders when crushing three or more targets with a single throw. To master the game you need to anticipate how boulders roll, bounce, and launch from explosions. Take advantage of collapsing structures too. Conquer the world by defeating the humans in more than 120 fun and increasingly challenging levels.

Crazy Fairies Beta

If the classic tank game Scorched Earth took place in Munchkinland, the result would be Crazy Fairies. Outfit your diminutive killing machine with equipment and spells, and pit him against the world in tournaments or free-for-alls. There seems to be a huge following for the browser game, but login issues are giving the Android version a lot one one-star reviews.

The ultimate play anywhere with anyone multiplayer casual game. Multiplayer turn-based artillery game set in a twisted fairy tale universe. Connect with players across multiple web platforms and mobile devices to train and fight in real-time. This version of Crazy Fairies is BETA. That means it contains bugs, will misbehave on many devices and might crash frequently. The Beta phase is meant to help discover problems and polish the game to perfection, but to do that we need YOUR help. If you are NOT interested in being a Beta guinea pig please ignore the game for now and wait for the Final release, which should arrive mid-December 2012. If you ARE interested in helping to improve the game, then install and play the game. Your progress and purchases WILL carry over to the Final release. Baseball Superstars® 2013

Android Police coverage: [New Game] Gamevil's Baseball Superstars 2013 Goes Global, Complete With Vampires, Barbarians, And Robots

Gamevil's baseball series has become inexplicably popular. Which is strange, since the actual baseball element is limited to pitching and batting. It's like practice in little league. Of course, it could have something to do with the insane cast of recruitable characters, the anime style, or the RPG leveling system. Or maybe the fans are just insane - always a possibility.

The best smart phone baseball game. The Ultimate Smart Baseball Experience Returns. The anticipated Baseball Superstars series is back better than ever. Featured in crisp, clear HD- this is the best baseball game for mobile devices. With enhanced batting and pitching moves, players experience smart intuitive baseball as never before. New and improved My Pitcher and My Batter modes lets you experience best of both worlds as you train, challenge, and compete for first place. Grow from rookie to super star by tackling new quests and relationships with your fans and cohorts.

Air Soccer Fever

OK, it says Air Soccer, but for anyone who's visited an arcade in the last 20 years, it's air hockey. Throw in multiple paddles and online multiplayer, and you've got yourself a nifty little experience. Different "fields" are available, and you can play as different countries, but it's all cosmetic - what isn't, though, is the fact that it works across Android and Windows Phone platforms.

Air Soccer Fever is the hit casual soccer game from Windows platform. It provides real-time online multiplayer gameplay across Windows Phone, Windows 8 and now Android. WARNING: This is a beta version for Android and may have bugs that we are working through. We strongly recommend you go through the help screens to understand the mechanics of the gameplay. You can play 1 player against the device, 2 player on the same device, local tournament and online multiplayer with anyone in the world. Please use WiFi Internet for online matches, 3G may not work well. We are working on user profile, leaderboards, achievements etc.

Bang Bang Racing HD

Bang Bang Racing is - hey, you! In the back! With the rude gestures! Cut that out! As I was saying. It's a fun super-deformed racing title with some great graphics that is now blessedly free of its THD rating, which means that those of us without Tegra-based hardware are invited to the party.

Pumping physics, gorgeous graphics - a true console racing experience on mobile. Interact with us and get involved with our new developments www.atomicom.co.uk A home console racing experience designed and optimized for mobile devices and which utilizes NVIDIA® PhysX (tm) technology. Bang Bang Racing THD is a fun, action-packed racing game that has cool visuals and pumped-up sports cars. But underneath its playful exterior, it has the pumping heart of a true racing game. Real-time dynamic physics allow for finesse and control - drifting through corners and clipping every apex delivers huge player satisfaction.

Retro Racing

Retro Racing is a study in truth in advertising: it delivers exactly what it promises. Sprite-based, top-down racing, just like Grandma used to code. (For those of you in the dark, think of Reckless Racing, only more, well, retro). Unfortunately the game uses in-app purchases to "unlock" the complete list of cars and tracks - why not just charge us and offer a demo, dev?

From the same developer behind the classic Amiga racers, Nitro (Psygnosis) and ATR (Team17). Choose your car, then skid, slide, spin and drive around the track at break neck speed, collecting power-ups as you go. Master the perfect racing line, avoid other cars and cones, and speed your way to victory in this adrenaline pumping top-down racer... Just how fast can you go?

Look, there are only so many ways to say that this is the light cycle game from Tron. So... this is the light cycle game from Tron. With pixels. And a Segway. Actually, that's kind of cool.

Babel Rising Cataclysm

Babel Rising is a fun physics game, but it's also incredibly intensive on your hardware. Cataclysm, a new take on the premise of divine retribution, is mostly in 2D, allowing everyone to be part of the fun. Punish those unrighteous followers with your holy wrath. The premium version runs three dollars.

Discover Babel Rising Cataclysm for free. You are God. From high above in the sky, it appears the humans are bustling about... and building a tower. A tower, what for? To raise themselves to your level? How conceited, how foolhardy. It is time to show them the price to pay for defying the Creator. Babel Rising Cataclysm is an action game in which you can make humans tremble with the tip of your fingers. Use your destructive powers by sweeping the screen top to bottom, left to right, with one or several fingers. Manage your powers, enhance them, use them at the right moment and eradicate the workers before they have a chance to complete the last storey of the building. Show them who's boss.

Spell Sword

Dedicated platforming fans call this kind of game "Metroidvania," after the classic franchises Metroid and Castlevania. Spell Sword definitely resembles the latter, though it's decidedly brighter. Guide your hero through the levels and collect pickups for bigger weapons and better armor... and don't be surprised if vampires and werewolves show up at some point.

Spellsword is a retro-inspired Hack 'N Slash survival based game. There is a tale of a sword mighty enough to destroy hordes of minions with a single blow... Yet this sword needs a hero...of epic proportions. The game follows the path of an unlikely hero as he quests to unleash the power of his newly found Spellsword. The player will fight in a variety of arenas to unlock new items and spell cards. Collect rupees and gold coins to spend on those new items, increasing your sword's and card's power while also protecting you from the minions attacks, who will do everything they can in order to stop you.

There are a ton of action RPGs available on Android. So what separates Knightly Adventure? Well, there's full 3D gameplay, cross-platform multiplayer and... not much else. And it takes place in a world called Loreland. Yes, really. Oh, and it's restricted to late-model Samsung devices. Huzzah!

Everland: unleash the magic

What's impressive about Everland isn't its ho-hum western RPG setting. Or its admittedly interesting touch controls. Or its full 3D graphics. It's that it manages to pack all of these into just 98MB. Finger Hoola

Finger Hoola is exactly, precisely what it sounds like. Though I'm wondering where the developer is getting "sensory climax" from.

Develop your dexterity and unwind your mind.LAUNCH SALE 50% OFF. Spin rings around your fingers and escape into a world of ambient sound and abstract shapes. WARNING: Moments of meditative focus can lead to sensory climax. Grass skirt NOT required.

Polygone - Lite

Remember Geometry Wars? Well this is like that, only less so. Less about shooting and more about navigating, Polygone tasks you with getting through obstacle-packed levels in a time limit. The difficulty curve is dynamic, which basically means that it gets progressively harder unless you suck. Try the free version before shelling out a dollar on the full game - kudos to developer Malum for the demo pricing model!

Destroy your monochrome enemies by navigating through their missing sides and releasing the color they hold in their center. Polygone is a new, addictive, arcade-style game in which you gain points by maneuvering through a world of random shapes as they move and rotate around, all the while collecting power-ups to assist you. The rules are simple: don't touch the outside of the shapes, or you'll get hurt. Get hurt three times, you lose a life. Lose all three lives, it's game over. The more points you score, the more populated and dangerous the world becomes, so make your choices wisely.

available as updates.

Finger Balance

Yes, yes, more physics puzzles. But thanks to the unique dual-thumb control scheme of Finger Balance, this one's worth your attention. Screenshots don't do it justice, so check the video: you literally balance a ball between your thumbs to guide it through bite-sized obstacle courses.

Featuring innovative and unique gameplay never seen before on Android, Coconut Island, maker of iDragPaper and One Tap Hero with over 12 million players worldwide, is proud to present to you Finger Balance, brand new one of its kind puzzle game. Test the dexterity and stability of your fingers, by balancing a ball on a rod and navigate through challenging and fun levels. You're given a rod and a ball on it. Your objective is raise and lower both ends of the rod to balance the ball and navigate it through obstacles.

MegaCity

It takes a lot of creativity to put a new spin on the city creation genre, doubly so for puzzle games. But MegaCity might have done just that with a combination of both. You've got the standard trope of having to place essential city structures in the right places, with a more rigidly enforced geography that turns the whole thing into a brain-teaser. If you've always wanted a little Bejeweled in your Sim City, definitely give this one a try.

MegaCity is a highly original and fun 'one-more-go' style city building puzzle game. It's easy to learn but hard to master and features gameplay that sees you inadvertently creating your own puzzles. Place requested buildings in the queue to earn points, but watch out: Nobody wants to live next to a landfill site or industrial estate. Everybody wants a nice park or school nearby, but the city's budget is limited. This is where you come in... Megacity is a game of planning and thinking ahead to squeeze the most points of out your citizens by clever town planning. And if it all goes wrong, it's their fault for electing you mayor, right?

Super Monsters Ate My Condo!

Adult Swim makes some of the nuttiest and most entertaining games on mobile, not the least of which is the kaiju-themed Monsters Ate My Condo. The sequel brings all the somewhat politically incorrect charm of the original with better graphics, more varied gameplay and new bonus elements. It's basically a simplified version of the old match-3 gameplay with, well, gigantic monsters.

They're back...and they're still hungry. Adult Swim's giant, hungry monsters are back for a second helping in Super Monsters Ate My Condo. Everyone's favorite colored condo-matching experience is now more frantic than ever as you try to get as many points as possible in TWO MINUTES. Make matches with helpful new condos like the bank and the clock while avoiding nasty new condos that generate nukes and acid. Spin the Monster Wheel for good luck and grab all-new boosts to send your multiplier (and your score) into the mesosphere.

Team Awesome Free

Ready for some self-referential, superhero-themed running? The generic heroes of Team Awesome can run faster than a tall building and leap speeding bullets in a single bound, but to collect as many coins as possible (and avoid various kooky obstacles) they'll need a little help from the player.

GET AWESOME WITH TEAM AWESOME. They were just four ordinary people, stuck in four dead-end jobs - until one day a mysterious meteor crashed to earth and made everything... AWESOME. Get ready for the explosive new side-scrolling arcade game from the Edis Brothers Team Awesome. It's the game with everything: aliens, robots, explosions, cats, trains, trucks, and shiny gold coins... lots of shiny gold coins. More cats, hover cars, hover boards, fruit bowls, brick walls, wrecking balls, a crazy dentist, soccer games and coffee? Giant toxic spiders, fires, cross dressing, break dancing, pizzas, donuts, guys in giant toilets, pool toys, ufos, and even more cats.

The Adorables

The premise for this game is so sweet it gave me diabetes. You're part of a family of fairies that keep the Northern Lights lit, but they can no longer fly. Gameplay for The Adorables is similar to Peggle in reverse, with more interesting graphics.

The Adorables have the greatest job ever – they create the magical Aurora Borealis. But, they have a problem They’ve lost their ability to fly. The night skies have been empty for months but with the invention of the Aurora Beam hope has been rekindled. However, they cannot do it alone. They need someone to operate the beam they need – you. Using Pachinko style gameplay similar to that of Peggle, you’ll control your Adorable by firing it up, instead of down through the level, directly influencing its path with the Aurora Beam and tilt after-touch.

Hit all the pins in the level three times, to create an Aurora Borealis of green, orange and purple. With a variety of collectables and mechanisms such as warps and sticky walls, each land you explore offers challenge and addictive fun.

OutFight

This one's a little weird. OutFight fits roughly into the tower defense genre, but instead of shooting platforms, the towers are bases and points of attack for an army of orcs. Capture new towers while fighting off the opposing army, and eventually wipe them out. It's a free download, with the usual caveat of in-app purchases.

Leading the green-skinned army destroy you enemies and build a new empire on the ruins of the old world. But don't forget about strategy, courage alone will not be enough.

Total Defense 3D Tower Defence

Is the current crop of doodle, animal, and adorable fuzzy nothings in tower defense just not doing it for you? Then try Total Defense, a 3D take on the genre that uses futuristic military weapons and don't take no guff from nobody. I love the smell of polygons in the morning.

Play the ultimate 3D Tower Defender RTS in HD. The future of TD games is now. Total Defense 3D brings a whole new level of action to Android tower defense games. This state of the art strategy will unleash a cascade of new RTS and RPG features as you drown in the intensive battles across the unknown universe. Combat & conquer planets, raise towers and erase alien monuments, repel enemy legions, advance technologies, mine resources and even destroy enemy passageways – adopt your own strategy. Lead the rebellion. Discover the dangers of faraway galaxies and face the armies of the evil Emperor in more than twenty epic missions, inspired by the gems of the space opera genre. (StarCraft, Total Annihilation, Red Alert, C&C)

Clash of the Olympians

Toeing the legal line with that title, aren't we, Ironhide? In any case, Clash of the Olympians has you pick your favorite Greek hero and defend his holy ground from various monsters, in a blend of shooter and tower defense gameplay. Just watch those heels, fellas - they're killers.

Become a demigod and keep the horde of heathens away from your temple. Take on the role of one of the mighty Greek heroes and defend your temple against hordes of mythological creatures using a vast array of powerful weapons and godly powers. Action packed defend the temple game that will test your wits and precision. 3 Heroes to choose from: Play as the mighty Heracles, the quick Perseus or the legendary Achilles. Face mythological creatures with different abilities. Minotaurs, Gorgons, Harpies and more.

Monster Crew

Many a little kid has stopped speaking to his mother when she threw out his baseball cards. But the pint-sized protagonist of this game took it one step further and got himself turned into a Frankenstein monster. With single-button running action a la Jetpack Joyride or Rayman Jungle Run, Monster Crew is a little late for Halloween, but might just hit the neck bolt for fans of the genre.

Become a monster in this "smashing" endless platformer with a strategic twist. Leave a trail of destruction -- and loot. -- while smashing everything you see in this exciting endless platformer. Battle an onslaught of fierce enemies, dangerous hazards, and even giant bosses in the quest to recover your lost Monster Crew cards. Don't worry, it's going to help that you've been zapped into your favorite member of the Monster Crew, Frankenstein. You're not all brawn and no brains, however. Use your wits to pick the perfect bonus cards along the way. Do you want to take some easy cash for your next big upgrade ... or convert some pesky spiders into delicious cupcakes? Should you use the Luck Talisman for better loot drops... or slip into the Flameproof Undies for when things start getting hot? Strategy matters. The game plays differently with each choice you make.
