We've been waiting with bated breath for the arrival of Madfinger's online multiplayer title Shadowgun: DeadZone for months now, and the wait is finally over. For some of us anyway.

An open beta of the game just landed in the Play Store, but for the time being, it's only available for players using Tegra 3-powered devices while the gameplay and network code are perfected. The Store listing states it's available only in the Czech Republic, but a few of us from the AP team were able to install it and got in just fine. Also, we're not very good at multiplayer shooters.

The Store lists Tegra 2 devices as compatible and will even let you install it, but the game won't run.

The company notes that there are still a lot of missing features and content in the game, so don't expect the full experience just yet. They're also running on a limited number of servers for the time being, so you may experience a short wait before getting your frag on.

Enough babble - if you meet the aforementioned requirements, go get it!
