Building apps can be a tough task. It can be difficult visualizing how the functionality of an app and its UI work together before you have a working model. Prototyper aims to alleviate some of that stress by letting you build what appears to be a functional app, without that messy business of it having to work.

This contest is now over. Here are our winners, selected at random:

  • MJ
  • Deepu Mukundan

Congratulations, guys - all of you will be contacted for your information in the near future!

Everyone else - keep participating and stay tuned to Android Police so that you don't miss our upcoming giveaway announcements. You can follow AP on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and RSS.

Prototyper works with a variety of platforms, including arbitrary UIs you build from scratch, so it work great for web development as well. The program includes built-in iOS and now ICS elements, so if you want to adhere to Android's style guide, this program makes it easy to experiment with those looks.

Giveaway

Prototyper has a free version available that you can go download now. However, we also have two Pro licenses (valued at $495 each) for those of you who need some extra power from your simulator. Here are some of the features that are unique to the paid version:

  • Rich interactions: MouseOver, Drag, PageLoad ...
  • Conditional rules.
  • Validations.
  • Forms and Datagrids simulation.
  • Variables.
  • Masters and Templates.
  • HTML and Document generation.

While the basic version will allow you to create something that looks like an app, the pro license will let you build an app mockup that performs very similarly to your final product, instead of just looking like it.

To enter the contest, comment below and tell us how this will help you work. The contest will be close on May 6th, 2012 at 11:59pm. Afterwards, we'll choose two winners at random. Oh, and don't worry if you live in a country that didn't invent deep-fried oreos. This contest is open to international entrants as well.

Thanks, Platinum Apps, for helping to put this together!
