We've known that Samsung planned on pushing its Touchwiz UX custom interface to the Galaxy Tab 10.1 for some time now, and it appears that that time is almost upon us. According to Sammy's official Tab 10.1 page, we can expect to see this update "soon," along with a few other goodies thrown into the mix.

Touchwiz UX looks to bring some incredibly useful features to Honeycomb, like a notification area power widget and an awesome mini-app tray. Phone Arena got a hold of a pre-production model Galaxy Tab 8.9 last month, complete with Touchwiz UX, and shot a video highlighting the new features. Have a look:

As you can see - it actually looks pretty useful. As long as the stock Honeycomb Gmail, email, and calendar applications aren't replaced by Sammy's versions, then I can actually see myself not only using Touchwiz UX, but also enjoying it.

This update will also bring a few other new features to the already awesome Tab 10.1, like a tablet enhanced version of Swype, mobile printing, a device tracking service called FindMyMobile, functional Samsung Hubs, and a few new bundled applications, including Amazon Cloud Player, Amazon Kindle, and - oddly enough - Words With Friends.

As always, we'll make sure to let you know when this update is available.
