Samsung's first S8 commercial shows an ostrich trying to fly

Samsung has a mixed track record when it comes to commercials - remember that awful ad for the original Galaxy Gear? Samsung's latest phone, the Galaxy S8, was officially revealed today. And the first commercial is pretty good.

Not one to let a franchise sit on its laurels, Ubisoft is bringing its Tom Clancy series to Android

Ubisoft has just announced a new Tom Clancy game for Android titled Tom Clancy's ShadowBreak. Something that has been noticeably absent from the Play Store, it was only a matter of time before Ubisoft brought the Tom Clancy series to mobile. From what I have seen, this looks to be an online multiplayer title that mixes sniper combat with Clash Royale lane-based combat — an odd mix for sure. Only time will tell if it pans out for them.

Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ U.S. pricing, availability, and offers

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are finally official, after months of leaks, speculation, and rumors. The phone seems like more than just another iterative step for good ol' Sammy, what with the shift to softkeys for navigation (finally), the new screen aspect ratio, and so on. But as exciting as all of this is, I am certain that those of you who are interested in either phone will want to know where, when, and for how much you can pick one up. Luckily, we've compiled a nice list for you.

Galaxy S8 and S8+ hands-on: Betting big on big

The Galaxy S6 was, by all accounts, a truly transformational moment for Samsung's industrial design. After years of building plastic phones constantly lambasted for their "cheapness," Samsung made radical changes in an attempt to completely redefine its smartphone brand. Those changes were generally well received, but it always felt like they stopped short: the software was still slow, bloated, and the battery life surprisingly poor. With the Note5 and S6 edge+ we saw significant refinement of that reinvention "moment," but not until the S7 and S7 edge did Samsung really build the concept I think they set out to with those first metal and glass sandwiches.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is official with a Snapdragon 835, 64GB of storage, and more

It's time. You've seen the leaks, you've read the rampant speculation, and now the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are official. The leaks were very accurate this year. The Galaxy S8 has a 5.8-inch screen and the S8 Plus is 6.2-inches. That sounds big for a phone, but they're surprisingly compact devices thanks to the essentially non-existent bezels.

Huawei's Honor brand sends US customers bizarre email about migrating their data to Germany

It's no secret that Huawei's smartphone efforts haven't been noticed by many American consumers. More troubling, though, seems to be news coming out of the company's value sub-brand Honor in recent days. Speaking to a source, we've heard anecdotally that Honor US continues to be the target of layoffs in Huawei Device's larger US presence, but a tipster also reached out to us last week with this bizarre email about the company migrating user data out of the United States.

The email itself is pretty dull, and Honor never actually says why they're migrating Huawei ID data from the US to Germany.
