First Leak Of Touchwiz-ified 4.2.1 Shows Up For The Samsung Galaxy S III (i9300)

Given Samsung's recent track record with updates, there's been little question whether or not the Galaxy S III would receive Jelly Bean 4.2.x, but a leak that showed up today over at SamMobile removes all doubt of the build's existence. The leak shows off Samsung's take on some of the 4.2 modifications, including a fully TouchWiz-ified Quick Settings menu (which actually looks more useful than stock Android's).

Aside from that, it appears that Sammy has added several voice actions, which should allow you to control various parts of the OS through speech. Otherwise, it basically looks like the current TouchWiz builds on Android 4.1, including the Premium Suite, Multi-Window, and the like.

Samsung Posts Full Two-Minute 'Next Big Thing' Promo Ahead Of 'The Big Game' [Video]

A few days ago, Samsung published their "El Plato Supreme" promo video in which Paul Rudd and Seth Rogen try to develop a pitch for Samsung's don't-call-it-the-Super-Bowl ad. Rounding out the story, a full two-minute video was uploaded earlier today which shows how the two ended up working together on the pitch, throwing in a few more self-aware marketing gags along the way.

In the deliciously meta ad, Rogen and Rudd bicker over who's "the next big thing" before finding out that they're working together not in the ad, but on the pitch. Their meeting with Saul Goodman (I mean Bob Odenkirk) covers topics from diapers to crowd-sourcing to space travel before LeBron James abruptly joins the meeting by way of a Galaxy tablet, suggesting he make a cameo in the ad on – you guessed it – a tablet.

Gameloft Shows Off Blitz Brigade Trailer – It's Like Team Fortress 2 For Your Phone Or Tablet

It would be great if Valve would make games for Android, right? Oh, what's this? It looks like Team Fortress 2, and sounds like Team Fortress 2, but it is not Team Fortress 2. What you're seeing here is Blitz Brigade, the new upcoming game from Gameloft. Yes, it appears the developer has finally gotten around to imitating Valve's smash hit first-person shooter. Let's not be too cynical, though. The trailer looks pretty neat.

Team Fortress 2 has a distinctive cell-shaded animation style, and Blitz Brigade looks to be going in the same direction. This is a multiplayer shooter with a five character classes to choose from.

Verizon's Bright Pink Valentine's Day Edition DROID RAZR M Now On Sale Online And In Stores

It's time to call up the DROID RAZR M family and congratulate it on a new, slightly much girlier addition. Minutes ago, Verizon Wireless put up the bright pink Valentine's Day-themed variant of the 4.3" Jelly Bean-sporting device for sale on its website.

Update: Verizon has now updated the page and included a $50-off discount, dropping the price down to $49.99.

Unsurprisingly, the subsidized 2-year contract price remains unchanged from the black and white versions at $99.99, while the month-to-month off-contract option will make your wallet lighter by $549.99. However, if you can manage to contain the excitement and wait for Internet retailers, like Amazon Wireless or Wirefly, to get one in stock, you'll more than likely be able to save $99.98 - after all, the existing RAZR M listings have it for only a penny (black, white).

Paranoid Android's PIE Navigation System Is Almost Out Of The Oven, And It Smells Fantastic [Video]

When it comes to custom ROMs, we generally stick to covering CyanogenMod and – more recently – AOKP. Every once in a while, though, something really special, unique, or just downright awesome shows up in another ROM. In this case, it's PIE. A ROM that can make pie. No, wait, that's not right. It's a feature baked into the Paranoid Android ROM that completely revamps the navigation area. 

All pastry jokes aside, PIE is a fully-customizable replacement for the stock on-screen navigation buttons found in more recent versions of Android. It stays hidden off-screen, only to be brought to life by a predefined gesture.

If you're a fan of "bullet hell" shooters, the day you've been waiting for has arrived: the celebrated arcade and Dreamcast title Ikaruga is now available on Google Play after a brief Japan-only period. But hold your horses, nostalgic gamers - it's also one of the more expensive titles out there at a whopping $9, with no demo available. Still, for those who love this gem of a shooter, it's worth the high price tag.

If you're unfamiliar with Ikaruga, it's an old-school space shooter made for the Sega NAOMI system (basically an arcade Dreamcast) and released to home markets in 2001.

Koush's Latest App Is Carbon (Not That Carbon) - A Free App Backup Solution For Google Drive And More

If you've even dabbled in the Android mod scene, you know Koushik "Koush" Dutta. He's the chap who made ClockworkMod recovery and several other handy tools for advanced users. His latest app is Carbon, which may or may not be sarcastically named after the famously postponed Twitter app. (The app icon is a trollface - we'll leave the interpretation up to you.) The function is simple: back up both your local APKs and their associated app data.

You can select which apps to back up, then choose their destination: Google Drive, your local SD card, or even a connected PC.

[CES 2013] Samsung's Exynos 5 Octa And Flexible OLED CES Event Now Available On YouTube

Do you like octa-core processors? How about displays that curve? Or just Samsung in general? If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, then you're going to want to watch Samsung's second CES event, which just so happens to be available now on YouTube.

For the Exynos 5 Octa stuff, jump straight to 12:34. If you're more into the flexible OLED, they show the prototype off at 39:48. If you don't have anything better to do for the next hour, just hit play and enjoy.

Update: There seems to be a "full version" of the event as well.
