If you own a RAZR HD, RAZR MAXX HD, RAZR M, or Atrix HD, and you've been waiting for the day when sweet bootloader-unlocking goodness arrives, wait no more: Dan Rosenberg has come to the rescue yet again.

Dan just published a tool that will allow you to unlock any of the above-mentioned Moto devices, assuming you have root access on your phone. Just have a working superuser app on your device, download the tool, connect to your PC with USB debugging enabled, and run the included script. From there, follow the instructions.

There are a few catches. First, you must be rooted - some 4.1.2 builds for the supported devices do not yet have a working root method.

If all-day-and-maybe-all-night battery life is an important thing in your quest for a new smartphone, you'll have a hard time finding something that lasts longer than the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX HD. The device's massive 3,300mAh battery should be enough to last you through the workday, the evening, a night out, and then some, while its 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 should keep everything humming along nicely on the 4.7" 720p display.

If all that sounds lovely, but you don't want to shell out a couple-hundred dollars to get one for yourself, Amazon Wireless has the deal that'll get a brand new one in your pocket for a mere $80 – so long as you're willing to throw your John Hancock down in agreement to be loyal to Verizon for the next two years.

Given a long enough timeline, basically all carrier-branded Android phones will eventually reach the "free" price point on Amazon Wireless or Wirefly. That day has come for the Motorola DROID RAZR HD, as now both new Verizon customers and those eligible for upgrade can grab this device for a single, solitary penny. That makes it basically free.

In January, we saw Motorola's Droid Razr HD drop to just a penny on Amazon for customers looking to upgrade their old devices. Sadly, the deal didn't extend to new customers (though at $19.99, not much complaining could be done).

If you were hoping to hop onto the big red network with the Razr HD for a more enticing price, Amazon's got your deal – the phone is now just a penny for new customers (and additional lines). Upgrades on the other hand will cost customers $89.99, strangely enough.

Though the Razr HD launched last fall, its specs still hold up against the competition.

Just when you thought it couldn't go any lower, Amazon Wireless makes the Droid RAZR HD even more affordable. As long as you're willing to sign on for two years of Verizon service, that is. Amazon reduced the RAZR HD to $49 last week, but Wirefly leapfrogged Amazon to make the device free for upgrades (still $49 for new accounts). Not to be outdone, Amazon has dropped the price all the way to $19.99 on new accounts, and just $0.01 for upgrades.

For anyone due for an upgrade on Verizon, getting this phone essentially for free is a great deal. Of course, $20 for new customers is nothing to sneeze at, and it does beat Wirefly's price.

Most of the time when we post a good deal – especially on a free phone – it's typically for new customers. In a rare event, though, Wirefly has turned that deal on its head by making  the RAZR HD free for upgrades only. New customers will still have to shell out $50 for the same devices. It's a pretty good deal either way, but it's particularly killer for existing Verizon customers.

If you need a quick spec-refresher for the RAZR HD, here you go:

  • Cameras: 8MP rear, 1.3MP front

  • Ports: microUSB, microHDMI
  • Connectivity: Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11a/b/g/n

Thought $99 was a good deal for one of the top Android phones? Well, grab your wallet because Amazon Wireless is now selling the Droid RAZR HD for just $49.99 if you're a new Verizon customer. Already on Big Red? Don't get too bummed – you can still have the RAZR HD for $99.99. These prices are, of course, with a new 2-year service agreement.

The Droid RAZR HD packs a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, a 4.7-inch 720p AMOLED screen, and a solid 2530mAh battery. It's not anything like the 3300mAh RAZR HD MAXX, but it'll get you through the day.

If you're looking for a solid LTE phone on Verizon, you'll be hard-pressed to find one better than the Droid RAZR MAXX HD. Its massive 3300mAh battery is enough to easily get you through a day (and then some), Motorola's SMARTACTIONS help automate your life, and the recent upgrade to Jelly Bean (4.1) puts the icing on the cake. And since this was one of the first phones to come out of the "new" Motorola, it should get better support than, well, all previous Moto phones.

So, if you're willing to sign on the dotted line agreeing to two-years with Verizon as a new customer (or a new line), then you can grab this gem for $99 – that's a full $200 off the Verizon price.

If you've got some spare holiday cash burning a hole in your pocket, now might be the time to jump on the RAZR HD deal Amazon is offering. If you pick up the device from Amazon Wireless right now, it's only going to run you $99 –  no matter if you're a new customer or not. Previously the device was priced at $130, and then only if you were new to Big Red.

The Droid RAZR HD might not have the massive battery of its beefier Maxx brother, but it's a fine device in its own right. The RAZR HD runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chip, has 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage.
