AT&T Makes The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active Official, Available Starting June 12th

Well, this looks familiar. AT&T has finally acknowledged that the Galaxy S6 Active is a thing, and it's going to be selling it very soon. The GS6 Active does indeed look like the previously leaked images with the camo pattern on the back and physical buttons on the bottom. It looks like a bit of a cross between a Galaxy S5 and S6.

US Cellular Version Of The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 Gets Its Lollipop (5.0.2) OTA Update

Samsung's latest and most advanced tablet series is the Galaxy Tab S. That's kind of amazing when you consider the company's previous rate of releasing new tablets, and that the Tab S 8.4 and Tab S 10.5 were released almost a year ago. But I suppose it's nice if you happen to have one, so Samsung is more motivated to release faster updates. Today the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 on US Cellular gets its Android 5.0 update.

[Deal Alert] Unlocked Refurbished Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Now Only $400 On eBay

The Galaxy Note 4 was a beast of a device at launch, and as a direct result, it came with a beast of a price tag (the AT&T model in particular still goes for $850). It's the kind of phone that carriers offer for $300 on contact, which is enough money to outright own a decent piece of hardware these days.

Now that the Galaxy S6 exists and we're nearly a year out since the Note 4's launch, it's easier to get the 5.7-inch device at a more reasonable price.

"OK Google" From Any Screen On The Galaxy S6 And S6 Edge Appears To Be Returning, Can Possibly Be Forced Back On

A couple weeks back, we reported on a widespread problem with OK Google "From any screen" (AKA "OK Google Everywhere") on the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. Namely, it was gone. While the hotword still worked from the Google Now Launcher and other third party launchers with such functionality hacked in, most S6 and S6 Edge owners were unable to use the "from any screen" functionality because the option simply disappeared.

Samsung Lays Out Plans For Slimmer Batteries And Camera Sensors, Faster Charging In Coming Product Generations

In a public presentation, Samsung has discussed some of the technical-oriented plans they have for the next few years. These can be summed up as all in the service of reducing the size of components and making them more efficient. Concrete goals include making batteries smaller but also more energy-dense, reducing charge time, and slimming down camera sensors.

According to their talk, their batteries now have a density of 700Wh/l (Watt-hour per liter). They're hoping to ramp that up to 750 by the end of next year and 780 by 2017, with the plan to begin shipping new products with these advances by then as well.
