[Deal Alert] The Samsung Galaxy S7 Duos is $440 on eBay ($210 off)

The time for new phones is coming, but that doesn't mean that yester year's flagship devices are any less good than they were at release. One of the great things about new hardware is that the older stuff sees some great price cuts. Such is the case with the Samsung Galaxy S7 Duos (dual-SIM version). The 32GB in black, silver, or gold is $439.99 over on eBay, a savings of $210.

[Update: OnePlus 3T too] LineageOS 14.1 hits new devices, including HTC One M7, Samsung tablets, LG G3, and ZTE Axon 7

LineageOS is still a relative newcomer to the Android world, but since it's descended from the legendary CyanogenMod, builds for various devices are coming thick and fast.

In this round, there are six new devices receiving LineageOS 14.1 (based on Android 7.1 Nougat) builds: two HTCs, two Samsungs, an LG, and a ZTE. The HTC phones are both variants, Verizon and GSM, of the original HTC One, the M7.

Verizon's new equipment protection plan includes same-day screen repairs, but only for some Samsung and Motorola phones

Cracking the screen glass is the easiest way to damage a modern smartphone, if only because there's just so much of it. Verizon isn't the only company making offers for a protection plan, giving customers a little peace of mind for reduced-price phone repairs in exchange for a few bucks a month. But the newest version of the plan does have an interesting bonus: they're offering same-day screen replacement for some of the carrier's most high-profile devices. Verizon is hoping that people will be willing to shell out some extra dough for the chance to fix up their screens without having to deal with shipping.

[Deal Alert] Get a free 256GB MicroSD card when you buy a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge

The Galaxy S8 is almost around the corner, but that doesn't mean the S7 and S7 Edge are all of a sudden bad and unusable phones. They still have an excellent display, a fast processor, enough RAM for the most demanding power-users out there, a fantastic camera, water-resistance, and plenty more to offer. But in a couple of months, they will be last year's news and it seems that Samsung wants to clear some stock now before that happens.

So the company is offering a few 256GB EVO+ MicroSD card with the purchase of an S7 or S7 Edge between February 8 and 14, for US residents aged 18 years and above.

The Galaxy S4, in its day, was a pretty capable smartphone. However, with its fourth birthday fast approaching, its update period has long since passed. No matter to T-Mobile, though; the company has just pushed the latest February 2017 security patches to it and the older Galaxy Tab 3... but they're still on Android 4.4 KitKat.

[Deal Alert] The Samsung Gear 360 is available on Amazon for $226 ($124 off)

The great thing about 360 cameras is they can capture a moment in time from literally all angles, seeing as they're 360°. If you like the sound of that, take a look at this: Samsung's dust and water resistant Gear 360 is currently down to $225.99 on Amazon, which equates to $125 off the launch price of $350.

This is probably because 360 cameras are seen as a bit niche by most of the population. It is true that not everyone needs one; the simple fact of the matter is that not everybody has to take a photo in 360°. However, everyone should want one, and that's the point here - they're such a cool item to have in your technology inventory.

Samsung Pay Mini to launch in South Korea for all Android smartphones

The web component of Samsung Pay has long been rumored to be coming, so it's no real surprise to see it formally announced today. The service, which sees Samsung attempting to broaden its services offerings in response to Google, Facebook, and Apple, will go live in South Korea before the end of the first quarter.

Samsung Pay Mini is comparable to how Android Pay works to pay for items online. E-tailers opt in to the service, which means as long as the dedicated app is downloaded, users can easily and quickly pay for products or services without needing to fill in forms or get cards out.
