Last Nexus Standing In The US Falls – 16GB Nexus 10 Now 'Sold Out' [Update: It's Back]

Update: It looks like the 16GB Nexus 10 is back in stock now. If you were one of the unlucky few who missed the first batch of orders, go ahead and claim yours now.

There's no denying Google's launch of its new Nexus lineup has been a little bumpy. On launch day, we saw near-instantaneous shortages of the Nexus 4 in multiple countries including the US. Shortly after the Nexus 4 sold out in the US, the 32GB Nexus 10 fell. Then the Nexus 7 3G. Just today, we heard reports that many US customers were receiving "backorder" emails, indicating their Nexus 4 order may not ship for up to three weeks.

Samsung Announces S Pen SDK 2.2.5 Update With Multi Window APIs, Bug Fixes

In a continued quest to bring their handy functionality of the Note line's S Pen, Samsung has again updated the stylus' SDK, this time to 2.2.5 (a 0.0.5 bump over the previous update).

The update, which Samsung announced through its developer blog early this morning, brings one major feature – Multi Window and its related APIs. For those who haven't been keeping up with the Note line, Multi Window is a feature by which apps can share the screen by splitting it in half horizontally or vertically, sharing data through the clipboard or – in some cases – with simple drag-and-drop.

Samsung Galaxy Stellar Receiving Minor OTA Update (VRALH2) Soon

If you head on over to Verizon's support page, you can find a changelog for a decidedly minor update to the Samsung Galaxy Stellar (version VRALH2). The update improves backlight brightness coming out of sleep mode, boosts voice quality, and fixes some bugs that may have led to "rare occurrences" of device resets.

If you have a Stellar, this update should be rolling out to you in the next couple of weeks.

The HTC One X+, One VX, And Samsung Galaxy Camera Are All Out On AT&T Today

November 16th is a big day over at AT&T, with three major device releases going live today (announced earlier this week). The HTC One X+, One VX, and the Samsung Galaxy Camera are all available now, so let's break it down.

The One X+ will be $199 on a 2-year agreement, while the VX will be just $49.99. This sets up a three-device pricing structure for HTC at AT&T, with the original One X now just $99.99 on contract. And I have to say, a 64GB LTE phone that's as good as the X+ is quite a bargain at $200 - I definitely expected at least $250.

International Samsung Galaxy SII (I9100) Gets Leaked 4.1.2 Jelly Bean ROM

For many users, if an official firmware update for their device isn't available, a leaked ROM will do just as well. Owners of Samsung's International Galaxy SII (I9100) willing to run leaked firmware will be happy to know that today, XDA user izap has provided Jelly Bean 4.1.2 (build JZO54K.I9100XXLSJ) firmware for all to enjoy.

Of course, there have been rumblings that the SII will receive an official update to 4.1 this month, but sooner is always better, right? Users are reporting that the leaked build is working just fine, though as with any unreleased firmware, your mileage may vary.

Cricket Joins The LTE Smartphone Crowd: LG Optimus Regard Available Now, Samsung Galaxy S III Coming November 23rd

There are still great swatches of the American wireless industry woefully lacking in LTE coverage (we're looking at you, T-Mobile) but bit by bit the various carriers have been hopping on the bandwagon. While budget carrier Cricket Wireless has actually had LTE coverage in Las Vegas and Tucson for the last few months, it'd been restricted to USB access dongles, WiFi hotspots and the like. Their first LTE smartphone, the LG Optimus Regard. Yup, that's the name they went with.

The Regard fits neatly into the low end, with a 3.5-inch screen running at 480x320. At least its' got Android 4.0, though it's also running LG's custom skin.

Samsung Mobile Chief's Refusal To Negotiate With Apple Is Posturing, And It's Probably Not Even True

I can't say I'm the biggest student of Gandhi, but that whole "an eye for an eye and the whole world goes blind" bit sure came to mind this morning when I read that Samsung's head of mobile, Shin Jong-kyun, said the company "[does not] intend to (negotiate) at all" with Apple. This came on news of HTC's settlement with Apple on Saturday, which I contend is objectively good for the industry and consumers, no matter how you spin it.

First, let's look at the backstory. Apple and Samsung are involved in probably over a dozen various legal entanglements across the world.

If you're convinced that LTE is the way to go and aren't interested in picking up the Nexus 4, then Amazon Wireless is running a couple of deals right now for those who have been considering making the jump the Sprint.

First off, the HTC EVO LTE is now only $20. Twenty. Not a bad deal for such a solid phone, especially if you plan on installing CyanogenMod 10 on it. If you're not really the HTC type, though, the Galaxy S III was also on the receiving end of a price cut. You can now get this handset for $50 with a new two-year agreement.

Galaxy Note II Gets Official CyanogenMod Support, First CM10 Nightly Already Out

Despite having past issues with Exynos processors, the CyanogenMod team has already released the first CM10 nightly for the international version of the Galaxy Note II. This is, of course, brings stock Android 4.1.2 to the oversized handset.

Definition: A "nightly" is a bleeding edge release that is built on a daily basis, usually at night after a full day's worth of new code has been committed.

It could oftentimes be unstable and not properly tested, lacking any changelogs, but eventually evolving into alphas, betas, release candidates, and finally stable releases.

If you plan on giving this a shot, don't forget to grab the appropriate GApps package, too.
