So far, the red Galaxy S III has been limited strictly to AT&T. If you wanted to get your hands on that device in the color that denotes danger and sexiness (you know, in keeping with the whole calming 'nature' theme), then two-thirds of U.S. mobile users would have to switch carriers. Now, however, you can get a red Galaxy S III 920 from Wal-Mart as long as you don't mind it being a Lumia 920, running Windows Phone, and not being a Galaxy S III at all.

Wait, that's not right.

Someone at Wal-Mart is either very confused, very stupid, or brilliant and out to make Artem's day.

Hey Verizon customers - I bet you've been jealous watching all the Note II action on other carriers, haven't you? We've seen the releases come, and Amazon Wireless slash prices for basically all versions of the device. Still, everyone on Verizon was left wanting. Good news! Big Red just announced that the Note II will be available beginning tomorrow, November 29th for $300 with a two-year agreement.

So, if you can handle the obtrusive branding on the home button and are willing to dedicate two more years of your mobile life to VZW, you can stroll right into a Verizon retail store and walk out with your very own Note II first thing tomorrow.

Not to be left out, it looks like the Galaxy Nexus Takju is getting its own 4.2.1 update just after the 1.1MB package started hitting the Nexus 7 and 10.

If you've got a Takju Galaxy Nexus and don't feel like waiting around for the OTA to find its way to your device, you can – as always – install it yourself.

It should be noted that this update package is only meant for Takju – that is, the Galaxy Nexus available in the Play Store. You should also be certain that your device is running 4.2 JOP40C before installing this update.

If you just can't wait for the 4.2.1 update to arrive on your Nexus 7 or Nexus 10 (Nexus 4 is here), it's your lucky day. The update URL has been uncovered so you can manually update the device right now.

Just grab the matching file below, both of which clock in at a slim ~1MB. The main fix in this build is for the now-famous December People app bug. The update should appear on your device in the coming days, but maybe your contacts have some big events coming up in December and you just can't wait to add them.

Do you want a QWERTY slider phone on Verizon? Then your options are pretty limited at this point. And by "limited," I mean this is basically your only one: Samsung's Stratosphere II. It's WVGA-tacular! It's also free if you use your existing Verizon customer upgrade over at Amazon Wireless, which is a good deal. I guess. New customers looking to get in on this not-exactly-bleeding-edge slider will have to fork over a Benjamin, though $100 is still thirty bucks less than what Verizon will charge you.

noooo

The Stratosphere II has things, as well. Things like a dual-core S4 Snapdragon processor, 4" WVGA display, and an 1800mAh battery.

Over the past couple weeks, we've watched Amazon Wireless continuously drop the price of the Galaxy Note II across various carriers, and AT&T's version of the behemoth is the latest to face the price-cutting ax. Effective today, customers who sign a new agreement with Big Blue can grab this powerhouse phablet for $175 - the lowest price we've seen yet on the device. If you're an existing customer looking to upgrade to the Note II, don't sweat too hard - it's only $200 for you.

That's a minimum of $100 off of what AT&T is asking for this device, and $125 cheaper if you're signing a new contract.

After beginning its steady march to wide release in Germany a few weeks ago, the Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) update for the Galaxy Note 10.1 is making its way to more European nations today. The UK, Spain, and various Nordic nations (presumably Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland) have the firmware available now (grab it here or here), if you're feeling impatient. Otherwise, just keep hitting that "check update" button over the next week or two, and sweet Jelly Bean goodness should be on its way to you shortly.

This presumably includes the "Premium Suite" upgrade we covered last week, that enhances multi-windows functionality, adds air view, and many other features found on the Note II smartphone.

Earlier this month, we reported on a pretty big omission in Android 4.2's People app: Google forgot December. So, any birthdays, anniversaries, or other important dates you may have needed to note for that month were simply impossible to document. Now, though, it looks like El Goog is fixing that issue with a small 1.1MB update. This OTA is, of course, labeled as Android 4.2.1, and aside from the December fix, we're not sure of what else it may bring.

Update: Here's the manual download for the Nexus 4, as well as a look at all the changes within.

It seems to be a growing trend among manufacturers to show off the process behind creating their products. Today, Samsung joined the ranks, bringing us an inside look of the stress test process that the company's moneymaker undergoes. To ensure that every Galaxy S III can stand up to all the punishment you can throw at it, there are a number of machines that attempt to scratch, crack, or soak the handset to see how well it can hold up. Oh, yeah, and there's an automated ass that sits on the phone over and over again.

If you've ever seen a stress test video, there won't be much here that's entirely shocking, though this clip is in Korean.
