Ah, the Droid Bionic. We've kicked back and watched this outrageously anticipated device go on one heck of a rollercoaster ride over the past six months or so, and yesterday we finally got word that the LTE beast would be hitting the street sometime in September. This new information brought on a slew of mixed feelings from our readers: some happy, some enraged, and some just downright disappointed.

With superphones like the Samsung Galaxy S II and the next Nexus phone coming out before the end of year, would you put your money on the table for this phone, or is Motorola late to the game again?

Another week, another great giveaway - our 4th giant giveaway, featuring the 32GB Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, has beat all past records yet again, with over 7,000 entries via Twitter, Facebook, and Google+. Most people entered using Facebook this time around, followed closely by Google+, and then Twitter. As we always do, we tried to make the giveaway accessible to as many countries all over the world as we could, adding a few more to our regular list.

You have to drop in some basic information like name, email, phone number, and carrier preference, and you're in. I received a text message immediately after signing up asking if I want to be notified via SMS as well, so expect nearly-immediate info regarding this device.

Two days ago we let you know that the 4G LTE variant of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 was set to hit Big Red's sales floor on July 28th for $530 (with a two-year agreement, that is). That day is here, and right on schedule, the LTE Tab 10.1 is ready to go in VZW stores across the country.

Accompanying what is probably the best Android tablet on the market, you'll find a whole slew of accessories to optimize the usefulness and experience of the Tab.

Update: As if we didn't all see it coming (you should see all of the @mentions we received on Twitter regarding VZWsupport's history of ignorance when this post when live), Verizon Support just tweeted that they were actually referring to the Galaxy Tab 10.1, not the Galaxy S II. One of these days, Verizon should probably consider hiring support people that actually know something about the products in which they support, instead of a group of neophytes that know as much about technology as my eighty-six year old grandmother (read: nothing).

An email just hit our inboxes directly from Samsung, inviting us all to join together in NYC on August 3rd for the official unveiling of a "major software update" for the Galaxy Tab 10.1.

We have known that this update was coming for the past several weeks, but now we can finally lock something a bit more concrete down. According to the above image, onsite Tab 10.1 updates will be open to the public at the event, so I wouldn't be surprised if we started seeing a national rollout begin that very same day.

Samsung is reporting that 5 million Galaxy S II handsets have been sold globally, only 85 days after its initial launch and 40 days faster than its predecessor, the Galaxy S. This contradicts what we heard late last week, when Digital Versus reported that apparently 6 million units had been sold in "less than three weeks", however, this recent announcement from Samsung suggests that those figures may have been exaggerated.

Samsung's flagship Android smartphone has already acquired over 56% of the mobile market in Korea and has also topped the market share of 10 European countries, including the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

We normally tend not to report FCC filings and approvals, but this was just too juicy to pass up. Our friends at Wireless Goodness are reporting that the FCC have approved a phone called the SPH-D710 submitted by Samsung.

The CDMA/EvDO and WiMAX version of the device obtained FCC approval indicating that it is headed for Sprint. Furthermore, the camera and speaker placement in the FCC filing document mirrors the placement of the same in the images of the Sprint branded Galaxy S2 leaked by This is my next earlier this month.

What if I told you that you could cut loose from your current carrier, hop over to Sprint, and snag a Nexus S 4G for free in the process? Would you be down? If so you answered 'yes' to that, then here's your chance, because both Amazon Wireless and Best Buy online are giving this phone away as long as you put your signature on the dotted line saying that you'll be loyal to Sprint for the next two years.
