Packing an unnamed  dual-core 1GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, an 800x480 Super AMOLED display, and a 5MP rear shooter, this device is designed to fit in a mid-range slot on carriers' lineups.

Apple's Patent-Based Injunction On The Galaxy Nexus Overturned By US Appeals Court

Justice may be sweet, but when it comes to patents, it's not usually swift. In the case of Apple's multiple, far-reaching patent disputes with Samsung, it took them a few weeks to get an injunction on the Galaxy Nexus based on the controversial results of the billion-dollar patent infringement suit. After Samsung took its case to the 9th Circuit US Court of Appeals, the higher judiciary power has sided with the Korean manufacturer.

Sprint's Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch And ZTE Fury Get Minor OTA Updates

Good morning, owners of the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III Epic 4G Touch. When you get your breath back, check your device's update function in the settings menu. Sprint's got a maintenance update, assuming that you're running the latest stock and non-rooted version of Ice Cream Sandwich. Software version S:D710.10S.FI27 adds only a few bug fixes to the email, MMS, and VPN apps, so don't get your hopes up for Jelly Bean any time soon.

Galaxy S III Mini Leaks Ahead Of Tomorrow's Announcement - 4" AMOLED, 1GHz Dual-Core CPU, And Android 4.1

Yesterday, JK Shin, head of Samsung Mobile Communications, said that the company would be announcing the Galaxy S III Mini in Frankfurt, Germany on October 11th. Looks like we don't have to wait another 24 to get the full skinny, however, as alleged details of the device have already made their way to the internet.

While many users were expecting full GSIII hardware in a smaller package, that doesn't look like it's going to be the case if today's leak is to be believed:

  • 4" WVGA Super AMOLED Display
  • 1GHz dual-core processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 5MP rear shooter
  • 16GB built-in storage, microSD card slot
  • NFC
  • 1,500mAh battery
  • Android 4.1

Basically, this is just another mid-ranger that Samsung managed to create some hype around by slapping the "Galaxy S III" name onto it.

Samsung's Galaxy Music Is A Low-End 3" Smartphone Running ICS With A Dedicated Music Button - Because Why Not?

We can easily get caught up in the mad scramble for the latest and greatest, so it's easy to lose track of the fact that low-end smartphones also have a place in the world. For this one, we'll let you decide. Who wants a smartphone with a 3" (yes, that is three inches) 240x320 TFT display, a 3MP rear camera, an unspecified "powerful" processor and 512MB of RAM? Before you decide, I should also point out that this phone has a dedicated music button and, for some bizarre reason, the spec sheet lists a WVGA projector (9 lumens), though it seems incredibly likely that this is a mistake.

Samsung Releases Kernel Source Code For The Galaxy Note II

Now that the Galaxy Note II has been released in select European countries alongside a few other places around the world, Samsung has released the kernel source code for the device, along with other open source software components.

Although the kernel source will be of little use to regular consumers initially, ROM developers may be able to use it to ensure that their software performs as well as it can do on the phone.
