Considering Samsung's tendency to release mountains of phones, the Galaxy S4 Mini seemed like a lock from the moment we saw the Galaxy S4. And what have we here? The Galaxy S4 Mini appears to have broken cover in China, and it looks more or less as you'd expect – like a smaller GS4.
Like last year's pint-sized GS3 variant, the Galaxy S4 Mini has the same general industrial design as the S4 proper. Read More
It's been a little while since we last saw a nice deal on Samsung's Galaxy Note II. If you're still lusting after Samsung's latest (for now) and greatest phablet creation, but haven't convinced yourself to shell out the requisite cash, listen up – both the Verizon and Sprint-bound variants are enjoying a nice price slashing.
Amazon Wireless is offering Verizon's Note II for just $79.99 with a new account, and $150 on upgrades. Read More
Samsung has just announced details of a new syncing/file management tool called Side Sync, which it mentioned last month alongside new ATIV PC branding.
The basic idea behind the app is easy, painless file and information transfer from PC to mobile and vice versa. This is accomplished using a dock that plugs into your PC's USB port. Once hooked up, you can share your mouse and keyboard with your Samsung phone, dragging and dropping files, and copying and pasting information as you please. Read More
Our long national nightmare has finally ended – you can buy a 32GB version of the Samsung Galaxy S4, but only on AT&T for now. AT&T announced just a few days ago that the GS4 would be arriving in its 32GB incarnation, and here it is right on time.
The 16GB Galaxy S4 has taken some heat for only giving users access to about half of the internal storage. The rest is taken up by the OS and included apps. Read More
Owners of the original Galaxy Note in the great white north are getting a little present today – a brand new (year old) version of Android is coming to their devices. Samsung has announced via Twitter that owners will be getting the update starting today on Bell, Telus, and Rogers.
The update is going out over Samsung's Kies program on all carriers, but it looks like OTA updates are occurring as well. Read More
Another day, another OTA, this time for Sprint's and AT&T's variants of the Galaxy S4. The updates – which are labeled as builds MDL and I337UCUAMDL, respectively - are beginning to roll out to all Ma Bell and Now Network owners of the GS4, and looks to include a few app, feature, and kernel changes.
Here's what the Sprint update includes:
- SMS notification enhancements
- S-Health enhancements
In addition, though not listed in Sprint's official announcement post, we believe this software contains a kernel patch that prevents unauthorized root access. Read More
In the movie 3:10 to Yuma, Ben Wade (played by Russell Crowe) said "even bad men love their mamas" right after laying trash-talking Pinkerton Byron McElroy to rest (for saying bad things about Wade's mother, of course). I think this paints a pretty true picture: everyone loves their mother; rightfully so – none of us would even be here without our mamas, after all.
And if you want to show your mom how much she means to you this Mothers' Day, there's no better way to do it than with a massive and powerful smartphone. Read More
Though it's been little more than a week since the Galaxy S4 hit T-Mobile airwaves, the carrier's showing the newest member of its smartphone family some love with an incremental update. Rolling out OTA and via Samsung's Kies software, the focus of the patch (version M919UVUAMDB) seems to be on T-Mobile's pre-installed applications, rather than the system software as a whole.
The Visual Voicemail and ISIS apps are set to receive "improvements," whatever that means. Read More

Many excited buyers were shocked to see how bad the Samsung bloatware problem had become when firing up the 16GB GS4 in recent weeks. Read More
