When most people get a new device of any kind, one of the first things that they start looking for is good accessories. For tablets, some of the more sought after add-ons include keyboards for added functionality and cases to protect the investment, but the brilliant minds over at Logitech decided that it would be much more practical to combine the two with the new keyboard case designed specifically for the Galaxy Tab 10.1. It has been nearly a day since Samsung pushed the TouchWiz UX update to retail Galaxy Tab 10.1 units across the country, and having spent most of the day playing with it, I want to share my thoughts on it with all of you.
Before we get into the details, though, I want to address one important thing: root access. My Tab 10.1 was rooted (stock ROM and kernel) with ClockworkMod recovery before the update started rolling out, so I was naturally hesitant to pull it for fear of losing root privileges. Read More
Samsung's call for amateur promotional Galaxy Tab 10.1 videos attracted many entries so far, most of which have already been posted by the company on YouTube. The winner is still MIA, but if the 4th place that you can see below is all the way down at 4th place, I am definitely looking forward to #1 (though I can't agree with the choices for #2 and #3).
Well done, Sergio A. Read More
To all those who have been [im]patiently waiting for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 OTA to go live, wait no more - the update started rolling out at exactly 12:00am EST. This update brings a whole slew of awesome to the Tab 10.1, including TouchWiz UX and all of its added benefits. I know there are a lot of skeptics out there since this is the first major custom overlay to hit a Honeycomb tablet, but judging from the early reports, it has been very well received. Read More
: Cameron took the keyboard out for a spin after the TouchWiz UX update and posted his impressions here
. In short, it fixes some bugs, but most of the shortcomings remain in my opinion, and my verdict doesn't change.
Some people may never end up updating to TouchWiz UX, so I'm leaving the review below intact.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is currently my favorite Android tablet, so I was excited to see how some of its accessories, like the keyboard dock in this review, pan out. Read More

Of course, if you live in NYC, you can swing by The Shops at Columbus Circle between 1:00PM to 6:00PM and get your Tab updated immediately. Read More
My favorite Android tablet, the I/O limited edition Galaxy Tab 10.1, received a small update today with version number KG4 (full version: HMJ37.UEKG4 P7510UEKG4). The only new feature the update seems to bring is the Videos/Movies app from Google, which is otherwise not available from the Android Market. Disappointingly, I don't see a new Movies tab in the Market, so literally only the Videos app was added and nothing else. Read More

An email just hit our inboxes directly from Samsung, inviting us all to join together in NYC on August 3rd for the official unveiling of a "major software update" for the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
We have known that this update was coming for the past several weeks, but now we can finally lock something a bit more concrete down. According to the above image, onsite Tab 10.1 updates will be open to the public at the event, so I wouldn't be surprised if we started seeing a national rollout begin that very same day. Read More
