If you're in the market for a Cricket Wireless phone, the carrier is offering some downright fantastic deals at the moment. They're offering massive mail-in rebates of $200 off the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S III, and HTC One SV (in addition to their regular web discounts), delivered in the form of a Visa prepaid card. Thanks to a surprisingly low starting price, Samsung's Galaxy S4 is just $329.99 with the rebate - and that's not a contract price. Cricket sells all its phones outright. These deals appear to be valid only for online orders from the Cricket website.

The Galaxy S III is going for just $179.99 after the rebate, and the HTC One SV is $79.99, both good deals for phones that are still perfectly capable.

CyanogenMod 10.1 Release Candidate 5 Builds Rolling Out, For The Galaxy S III, Nexus S, And More [Update]

The gold release for CyanogenMod 10.1 (Android 4.2) is very, very close, folks. The CyanogenMod team has already gone through four (count 'em, four) release candidates to date, and the fifth has just started popping up on the CyanogenMod download page. RC5 for the Sprint, MetroPCS, Cricket, and AT&T versions of the Galaxy S III are available at the time of writing, as well as the Nexus S, Nexus S 4G, Samsung Captivate, Acer Iconia Tab A700, and the Nook Tablet.

T-Mobile's LTE Version Of The Samsung Galaxy S III Is Now Available For $550 Or $70 Down

So the Samsung Galaxy S4 isn't doing it for you (or you don't want to spend the extra dough for one on T-Mobile's new contract-free plans) but you still want that sweet, sweet LTE speed. No worries: the carrier has been planning on releasing an updated model of the still-popular Galaxy S III to take advantage of their fledgling long term evolution network. Tmo's Galaxy S III LTE is available now on the web store, for $549.99 outright. You can also choose to pay $69.99 down and $20 a month over 24 months. It looks like the phone is only available in white at the moment.

Net10 Announces Its Version Of The Galaxy S III LTE, Available Now For $440

We all knew it was coming. StraightTalk Wireless announced that it was getting the GSIII LTE last month, so it was only a matter of time before its sister company Net10 did the same. Well, that time has come and Net10 users can now get The Next Big Thing Before The Current Next Big Thing for a cool $440 off-contract.

For those who may not be familiar with the Net10, it's essentially an MVNO and StraightTalk sibling owned by TracFone. The similarities between Net10 and ST are nearly indistinguishable (as is each company's respective variant of the GSIII LTE), with the one key difference being that ST is slightly subsidized through Wal-Mart, which allows for a whopping $5 in monthly savings.

Verizon's Galaxy S III Receiving A Pretty Major Update To I535VRBMD3, Brings Multi-Window, Best Shot, And A Lot More

Verizon may not be the fastest carrier when it comes to sending out over-the-air updates, but it looks like it's finally getting around to pushing a fairly sizable 129.1MB update to its version of the Galaxy S III. The OTA brings many small improvements, as well as a slew of Samsung-specific customizations along for the ride.

Generally speaking, once Verizon updates its support page, updates tend to start rolling out within a few days (if they haven't already). There's a pretty good chance that we'll see this one hit the airwaves before week's end, so keep an eye on your notification bar, or jump into Settings > About phones > Software update if you're the OCD type.

Android 4.2.2 ROM Leaked For The International Galaxy S III, Galaxy S4 Goodies Contained Within

Good morning, Galaxy S III users. Want to start off your week with a spiffy new software build? Then the folks at SamMobile are happy to oblige. They've got their hot hands on a leaked build of the Android 4.2.2 (JDQ39) update for the S III, packing the standard Jelly Bean 4.2 upgrades and more than a few features back-ported from the newer Galaxy S4. The flashable ROM posted to the site isn't exactly official - it's cobbled together from dumped files - but flashing it via Samsung's Odin software won't void your warranty.

Some of the features already spotted in the leaked ROM include the lockscreen, driving mode, Voice Controls, an updated Settings app, gallery, S-Voice, new screen modes, and a bunch of other software and visual tweaks from the TouchWiz build first seen on the Galaxy S4, as well as a host of new settings and the Smart Watch widget.

StraightTalk has become a popular alternative for those who don't need all the bells and whistles of flagship smartphones, or don't want the sometimes ruinous cost of keeping them connected. But even budget carriers move with the times, and the Wal-Mart partner looks like it's finally ready to embrace LTE. The Samsung Galaxy S III is now available for purchase on StraightTalk's website, and should be at your nearest Wal-Mart soon. The phone is unbranded and comes with a reasonable sticker price of $439.99 unsubsidized.

There's just one fly in the ointment: It's a Sprint-compatible phone. The retail packaging for the GSIII popped up on HowardForums earlier today, and the LTE-S badge in the lower corner indicates that this model runs on Sprint's CDMA-LTE network.
