[CES 2012] Samsung Posters Confirm Galaxy Note For AT&T – Logo And Four-Button Controls Included

It has become obvious, thanks to some displays on the CES floor, that the Galaxy Note is indeed headed for AT&T, with a few tweaks. Namely, an AT&T logo prominently emblazoned near the top of the device, and four-button controls replacing the original note's layout. It may be worth noting that these posters (as pointed out by Engadget) appear to feature mock-ups of AT&T's Note variant, as there is no sign of a 4G indicator.

For now, there are absolutely no other details available, but with Samsung's press conference coming up tomorrow, it shouldn't be long before we hear more.

We've been hearing quite a few rumors over the past few weeks that the monstrous Galaxy Note is finally coming to AT&T, with one accessory manufacturer outing a possible release timeframe of "early 2012." Looks like that may indeed be the case, as an official press shot of the Note with AT&T branding has leaked with the date of Tuesday, February 14th prominently displayed on the homescreen.

We completely expect Samsung and AT&T to make the U.S. Note official at next week's CES conference in Las Vegas, so hopefully we'll get an official release date at that time.

Update: Anymode, after what we assume was a good-natured cease and desist letter from AT&T, has denied any of the information in its CES Media Alert (pictured below) is true. If we're being frank, they're 100% completely full of beans. Someone made available information they weren't supposed to, and someone got upset. Too bad official photos of the AT&T Galaxy Note were leaked this morning.

The stylus-toting Samsung Galaxy Note (or as I call it, the Samsung Galaxy S II: Andre The Giant Edition) has been quite successful overseas, and US consumers have been clamoring for a chance to get their hands (both of them, mind you) on the mega-sized 5.3" handset.

The Galaxy Note from Samsung, a device that has an almost cult-like following at this point. Those who love it, really love it. Those who hate it, well... just hate it. Some say it's too big, while others lust for its 5.3-inch Super AMOLED HD display. Unfortunately, U.S. users have been left wanting since the Note's release a few months ago. Sure, we've seen tell-tale signs that it is indeed going to land stateside eventually, but Samsung has now removed all doubt.

The company stated during its one-million sales milestone announcement that the device will be coming to the States in 2012.

Samsung Galaxy Note Rolls Through The FCC Sporting AT&T Bands

We've been wondering whether or not the gargantuan Samsung Galaxy Note would ever make its way stateside, and I believe we just got our answer. This tablet-phone hybrid device (or as I like to call it, a phablet) just passed through the FCC, and it's sporting AT&T 2G/3G bands.

If you need a refresher on what makes the Note so unique (aside from its massive 5.3-inch display), watch this:

Samsung Releases SDK 1.0 For Galaxy Note "S Pen"

Samsung's Galaxy Note is an oddity. At 5.3-inches it is clearly too large to be a conventional smartphone, but it is also too small to be a tablet. Adding further to its mysticism, it comes with a stylus, something rarely seen in contemporary touch screen devices. Nevertheless, Samsung has big plans for this device evidenced by their enthusiastic release of the SDK for the S Pen.

The first version of the SDK provides developers with the tools needed to create rich apps that can fully utilise all the functions of the S Pen. Some of these features include, a CanvasView for drawing the background, a panel for adjusting the width, opacity, and line colour of the pen, an adjustable eraser, and an undo/redo option.

Samsung Galaxy Note Commercial Shows Us What A Phablet Is All About

The massively oversized Samsung Galaxy Note may be an oddity in itself, but one thing is for sure: it's a dang cool oddity. It's huge, fast, the display is vibrant, and comes with a build-in stylus for note-taking and drawing. Sammy is clearly trying to bridge the gap between phones and tablets here, and to be honest with you, it looks like they've done a pretty good job.

Samsung Galaxy Note Source Code Now Available

While the Galaxy Note still hasn't made its way to US shores (and possibly never will), that hasn't stopped this gargantuan beast from making a name for itself in other areas of the world. It's big, powerful, comes with a built-in stylus, and has an amazing display. What more could you want?

US Release Of Galaxy Tab 7.7 And Galaxy Note Not In The Pipelines, Says Samsung Rep

If the insanely high-res screens of the Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab 7.7 have you drooling, you're certainly not alone. But if you live in the US, it's all too likely that you will never have the opportunity to see either of the devices in person.

At IFA 2011, the very same conference where the 7.7 and the Note were made official, a Samsung representative told GottaBeMobile that there are currently no plans to sell the gadgets in the US. For a moment or two there was a glimmer of hope - it wasn't clear whether the rep was referring to the seven-inch mini-tablet or the five-inch jumbo-phone - but after a brief bout of texting, it became obvious: neither of the devices are scheduled to cross the pond.
