The HTC 10 Will Not Be Sold By AT&T, But The Unlocked Version Will Be Compatible

HTC has just announced its latest flagship, the HTC 10. This phone is seen by many as the company's last chance to get back on track. It's not off to an amazing start, though. AT&T, a long time partner of HTC, won't be carrying the HTC 10. That has to sting. It's only going to be sold directly by Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile.

Sony Planning Another 6-inch Xperia Device, Possibly The Xperia C6

We know Sony likes big phones - the Z5 Premium or the absurd (but kinda cool) Z Ultra range laying testimony to this. Well, now it looks like it has another massive phone under its belt - the C6. This phone is the follow-up to the C5 Ultra, another 6-inch device released in August 2015; it's immediately obvious that the design of the C6 is similar to the C5.

According to Xperiablog, the C6 will have a 6-inch screen and a front-facing flash, both of which are definitely unusual for today's smartphones. To add to this, the device will have minimal side bezels and, like the C5 Ultra, a MediaTek chip, meaning it might be aimed at Sony's home country of Japan, or maybe a wider Asian release.

[Pretty In Pink] Sony's Xperia Z5 Premium Now Available In Pink Too

You could say that Sony is feeling the pink rush lately. After making the regular Xperia Z5 available in pink at the start of the year, the company is now ready to take its larger Premium sibling and dip it in the same bucket of paint. This gets you a large 5.5" 4K display (which Ryan didn't find very useful or even utilized in his review), a 23MP camera, a Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM with 32GB of storage plus MicroSD slot, IP68 water resistance, and a big 3430mAh battery. All in pink.

Despite being the apparent target market for this new color scheme (read: a woman), I don't know the first thing about fashion and colors.

Google Announces Voice Access Beta—Control Your Phone Completely By Voice

It was almost a year ago that Google posted the session list for I/O 2015 with an interesting "voice access" talk. That was eventually removed from the schedule and we didn't hear anything about it in Android M. Now, Google has announced Voice Actions as a beta in the Play Store (Android 5.0 and higher). Once you join up, you can install the app and literally control your entire phone by voice. It's incredibly cool.

LG's G5 B&O Hi-Fi DAC: Thoughts From An Audiophile Skeptic

Hi. It's not often I put on my "audiophile skeptic" hat here at Android Police, but, well, I felt compelled today. As you may be aware, LG has a phone called the G5. That phone has an accessory called the Hi-Fi DAC, which is a little black box with a B&O logo on it. I've used the B&O Hi-Fi DAC with our compatible pre-production G5 (this does not affect the "quality" of the DAC). It is, in short, exactly what I expected.

I was not necessarily expecting quite the... loving embrace that I've seen some critics give it. While the G5 itself has seen fairly mixed reviews, the Hi-Fi DAC seems to be getting a pass as the highly-desirable one of two chin modules LG has launched with its new smartphone.

Official HTC 10 Promo Video Leaks Ahead Of Announcement

HTC is going to get up on stage tomorrow to announce the HTC 10 knowing that we've all seen it from every possible angle. It must be weird to have a phone so thoroughly leaked before announcement, but it's not over yet. There's another leak, this time an official promo video.

Oppomart's Bogus OnePlus 3 Listing Is Not To Be Trusted, And History Makes It Obvious Why

Third-party retailers are a tempting source of information for upcoming product specifications. My theory on this is as follows: until historically recently, retail has been comprised largely of brick-and-mortar stores. In advance of major product launches and marketing initiatives, those stores often received information, media, and technical details about products weeks or even months ahead of time so as to be ready when said product became available. This is because things needed to be designed, printed, and distributed to physical locations in advance. This made retail leaks - such as weekly mailers or magazine advertisements - fairly reliable.

But in more recent years, the internet has largely obviated this system.

The T-Mobile Galaxy S6 And S6 Edge Are Getting Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Today

Marshmallow has been out for about six months now, and there are still some very recent phones that don't have the update. For example, the T-Mobile Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge... until today. These devices are finally getting the Marshmallow OTA. Sprint and Verizon both rolled their GS6 updates out recently, leaving AT&T as the sole holdout.
