[Weekend Poll] Are You Buying A Pixel C?

My feelings on the Pixel C are no great secret, but Google's latest hardware product still undeniably delivers on the large-format, premium Android tablet promise the Nexus 9 kind of failed to live up to last year. The Pixel C is Nexus 10-like in its size, but the 1:√2 aspect ratio gives it a more squared-off shape, as opposed to the old Nexus 10's media-focused 16:9 layout.

While Google is positioning the Pixel C as a "pro" sort of device, aside from the keyboard dock, none of that productive promise is really yet delivered on. As such, for now the Pixel C is just like any other Android tablet, which may be desirable depending on just what it is you want out of a device like this.

Google+ Web Preview Adds Setting To Autoplay GIFs, Makes Notifications Clearer

Google+'s big web redesign started rolling out as a preview almost a month ago. Although the new site was super fast and responsive, it did shed a lot of the features that users of the social network had grown accustomed to. Ever since, Google+'s engineers have been busy adding back bits and pieces of the old site's functionality in a way that doesn't compromise on the updated design's speed and lightness.

Another update has gone live now with a few interesting modifications. First is improved visibility of your notifications (which now sit inside a white circle) and easier access to categories within community pages' sidebars.

The Moto X Style (The International One) Is Being Updated To Android 6.0 Too

Earlier this week Motorola began rolling out the official Marshmallow over-the-air update to the Moto X Pure Edition. That's the weird-ass name that Motorola gave the US version of its latest flagship - the international version, which differs only in carrier support, is called the Moto X Style. According to at least one of our readers in the United Kingdom, the Moto X Style is now receiving its Android 6.0 upgrade as well.

The rollout will almost certainly be staggered by territory, so I would imagine that it's propagating across Western Europe at the moment. Other locations will probably follow over the next couple of weeks if they're not being served already.

Google Now On Tap Updated To Allow For Easy Screenshots On Android 6.0

Taking screenshots has officially become a little easier for those of us who have a device running Android 6.0. An update has begun to roll out to the Google App that adds a share button to Google Now on tap, which takes a screenshot and allows you to immediately share it. This is great news for some who have been having issues taking screenshots on their 6P while using certain cases, and for those who have trouble pressing multiple buttons at once. Let's take a quick look at how this works, and how it compares to the regular way of doing things.

[HoloYolo4EVA] Bug Watch: Some Users Are Frequently Seeing This Password Recovery Prompt When Using The Play Store

Ah Holo, how easily have you been forgotten! No sooner had Material Design been announced that we scrapped your vibrant black and blue, your grey boxes, your app tabs, and started championing white everywhere and animations. It's clear that Holo doesn't want to die, or someone at Google doesn't think Holo should be completely gone from Android, if only because it's good to see where you came from to appreciate the road you've been on. Like keeping that old photo of your acne-filled face or that baggy pair of pants that you used to wear before losing weight. It's great for reminiscing and comparing.
