At this point there's little doubt that Motorola will be unveiling the "Moto E" at its event next week. In addition to a leak on Facebook comparing the phone to the low-end Moto G, some new information and a promotional image has come out of FastShop, a Brazilian Internet retailer. According to the specifications that briefly appeared on the site, we're looking at a phone that's very similar to the G with a redesigned case and budget-minded specs.

Rumor: Google Exploring Home Screen Overhaul With Revamped Notification Shade, Recents Menu, And More

In our recent post about Google's plans to break its Search sauce out of the dedicated app and bring it to the rest of Android, I alluded to the fact that we'd have more to talk about later. Specifically left un-discussed were the implications of new navigation buttons for the Android home screen. As readers will remember, our information leads us to believe that the navigation bar will be getting a shakeup, with the new layout including the typical back and multitask buttons, plus a "Google" button, which appears - for now - to be an actual Google logo.

Just minutes ago we posted about the discovery of an Android 4.4.3 changelog in AOSP and we've already found some interesting information. Among the individual project repositories, there are a few dedicated to Google-supported devices, mostly those in the Nexus family. In particular, we came across new references to an HTC device codenamed "Flounder," and another device belonging to Google with the name "Molly." This is the first time that these names have appeared in AOSP.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 Photos Surface Courtesy Of SamMobile

SamMobile has gotten its hands on some pictures of the Galaxy Tab S 10.5,  which is yet another Samsung tablet for us to keep up with (please don't hurt me if I accidentally type Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro S 7.7 one day - I'm really trying here). What makes this one special is its screen, as it is expected to ship with a 2560×1600 AMOLED display. The device will reportedly come in two sizes, 8.4 and 10.5 inches.

There should be no doubt, Google is getting ready to make a lot of announcements at I/O. If we've learned anything from past experiences, Google starts packing its apps full of surprises in the weeks leading up to the big show. The latest update to Play Services started rolling out yesterday and it has grown by a whopping 4 MB, almost 30% larger than the previous version. There's obviously a lot of stuff to look at, so let's just jump right in.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 Gains Official CyanogenMod Support, First Nightlies Now Ready For Download

Eight inches is a fine size for a tablet, but the options are still pretty slim. People in want of a stock Android experience in the form factor pretty much have to go with the LGGPGPE or hack together their own solution. Thankfully the latter is, depending on the device, as simple as gaining root and flashing a ROM. CyanogenMod has just rolled out its first nightlies for Samsung's Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4.

Finding a decent ten inch tablet that won't break the bank can be an interesting process. There are so many options on the market, it's easy to get overwhelmed. If, however, you're in the market for something from the ASUS Transformer line, there's a pretty solid deal on eBay happening right now: the Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T is just $200. Keep in mind that we're talking about the Tegra 3 model here, by the way - not last year's TF701, which features the Tegra 4 chip.

Valve's Shooter Classic Half-Life 2 Is Coming To The NVIDIA SHIELD, According To This Informative Crowbar

This morning Android Police editor David Ruddock received a package in the mail. The only thing enclosed was a lime-green crowbar.

It says it all, really.

PC gamers will recognize the logo for Valve's much-loved science fiction shooter Half-Life 2 emblazoned on the bar, which is the iconic starter weapon for the game. "What Would Gordon [Freeman] Do?" and NVIDIA's SHIELD logo, along with NVIDIA's signature green color, makes this a not-so-subtle indication that the game is coming to the Android-powered SHIELD at some point.

[Deal Alert] Refurbished Original Galaxy Gear Available On eBay Daily Deals Today For $99

The original Galaxy Gear was a tough sell at $299. Heck, even at the $199 price you can find it for these days, it's still a tough sell. Let's be honest, even paying that much for any of the quarter-dozen Gears Samsung replaced the gadget with takes some convincing. But $99? That's a number I can get behind, and it's one I'm sure some of you can as well. Today eBay Daily Deals has the Galaxy Gear, refurbished, available in three colors for precisely that amount.
