US Cellular Launches The ZTE Imperial, A 4G LTE Android 4.1 Handset Available Online Today, In Stores Tomorrow

I just recently made the jump to an HTC One, but my last two phones were real stinkers. It's with this bad taste in my mouth that I am glad to see things improving on the budget end of things. US Cellular is debuting the ZTE Imperial, an Android 4.1 handset that doesn't make me hold my nose while reading its spec sheet. It comes with a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, a 5MP rear-facing camera, and a front-facing camera for video chatting.

Samsung Announces The Snapdragon 800-Powered Galaxy S4 LTE-A For SK Telecom's LTE Advanced Network

A little over a week ago, rumors of yet another Galaxy S4 variant hit the web, but this time it was packing support for LTE Advanced, the successor to the LTE we all know and love. That device is now official on Korea's SK Telecom, and it not only has support for the fastest mobile network on the planet, but also Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 800 chip. Early benchmarks of the device are in, and it crushes everything we've seen thus far – up to and including the "original" Galaxy S4.

[Deal Alert] Galaxy Note 8.0 On Sale For $345 (Plus $25 Google Play Credit) On eBay With Free Shipping, No Tax Outside NY/NJ

In the Android Police Galaxy Note 8.0 review, we mentioned that it would be a lot better with an adjusted price. The Samsung tablet has already seen some pretty significant discounts, and today eBay has the WiFi version for $345. That's $55 bucks off the US retail price, plus free shipping and zero taxes, at least if you live somewhere that isn't New York or New Jersey. This isn't one of eBay's Daily Deals - presumably the sale will end when stock runs out.

[Rumor] Stills Of Supposed LG Optimus G2 'Learning From You' Video Leak Out, Show Off Back-Mounted Volume Control

The Optimus G2, which we've been waiting for, has been subject to rumor after rumor. A few days ago, we finally heard something official that probably tells us the G2 will have a Snapdragon 800 processor (LG and Qualcomm stopped just short of explicitly naming the device), but tonight we've got something a little more fun.

Infamous leaker @EVLeaks has just dropped a series of still images that look to be from a video subtitled "Learning from you." They show the G2 and its rumored back-mounted controls.

CyanogenMod Ending Official Support For NVIDIA Tegra 2 Devices After CM 10.1

CyanogenMod and other aftermarket ROMs are often the last recourse for tech-savvy users whose hardware has fallen behind the curve, or just been forgotten by a manufacturer or carrier. But even the CyangoenMod team can't keep supporting devices forever. In a Google+ post today, the CM team states that due to technical limitations, support for phones and tablets using the NVIDIA Tegra 2 chipset will end with the next major Android release.

Galaxy Tab 3 Pre-Orders Available At Samsung, Amazon, Best Buy, And Other Retailers, Devices Ship July 7

Samsung's third iteration of the Galaxy Tab series of tablets isn't exactly mind-blowing, with each entry rocking specs that rival that of the aging Nexus 7. While we're mildly offended that Samsung would stick a 1280x800 resolution on a 10.1-inch screen, that doesn't mean we're going to stop you from buying one if your heart so desires. The 7-inch, 8-inch, and 10.1-inch versions of Sammy's largely identical slates have all popped up for pre-order online and at several big box retailers.

Sony Xperia Ion Jumps To Android 4.1.2 With Latest Firmware Update

Sony has handed out Jelly Bean to a number of devices in the past month, but it has taken a while for the update to reach the Xperia Ion. That's now changing. Build number 6.2.B.0.211 has started to roll out to the device that, until now, was missing out on all the fun that its Xperia siblings were having.

Despite the wait, this is not an over-the-air update. Owners need access to a computer and the Sony PC Companion to update their device.
