Galaxy Note 3 Deep-Dive Review: Still Making Every Other Big Phone Look Bad

You've been warned: the Galaxy Note II was probably my favorite smartphone of 2012, and it looks like its successor, the Note 3, is stealing my heart all over again. With big hardware improvements across the board, as well as substantial additions to software, the Note 3 feels like a true next-generation sort of phone. Samsung has rather effectively ruined every other large-screen device for me, and frankly, probably every other phone released this year.

Fuhu's Nabi 2 And XD Receiving Big OTA Updates - New Features For Both Devices

If you picked up Fuhu's nabi XD tablet for tweens, then it's time to grab it and hit the update button. An OTA recently began rolling out that brings some intriguing new features to the device, including an all-new launcher.

The XD Launcher isn't a typical launcher, however – it's more of a complete overhaul to the way the XD works and feels. It actually slightly reminds me of Chameleon Launcher, as it has time- and location-aware options that will display certain homescreens based on specific attributes.

HTC EVO 4G LTE Gets OTA Update To Software Version 3.17.651.4, Receives Sense Stability Improvements, Little Else

Sprint just surprised everyone by being the first US carrier to roll out the Android 4.3 update to the HTC One, just missing the September deadline by a hair. But not everyone owns HTC's latest flagship, so it's nice to see that the One isn't the only device having all the fun (granted, it's having most of it). The HTC Evo 4G LTE is also getting an update today, and while it may not be anything nearly as exciting as the jump to Android 4.3, it's better than nothing.

Sprint's HTC One Getting Android 4.3 Update Today With Improved HTC Sense Stability, Swype Fixes, And Sprint App Updates

HTC said a while back that the Android 4.3 update would hit all US HTC One handsets by the end of September. That obviously didn't happen, but the company wasn't too far off in the case of Sprint. That version of the device is getting the update today.

Hulu Plus Android App Update Adds Chromecast Support

When the Chromecast launched it had only one non-Google content source from Android devices: Netflix. Now that service's primary opponent, Hulu, also has the ability to "cast" video directly to Google's streaming dongle. Of course, like everything else concerning Hulu, you'll have to shell out $8 a month for access to the Hulu Plus service and corresponding Android app to take advantage of it.
