NVIDIA SHIELD Portable Update Fixes A Few GameStream, Rotation, And Gyroscope Bugs

One of the nicest things about NVIDIA's various bits of Android gaming hardware is that they get updated early and often. The SHIELD Portable is already running on the latest version of Android, but a new update (dated Tuesday, but apparently going out a little late) has fixed a few small issues with GameStream and other services. If you have a SHIELD, check your Settings menu - the 480.9MB update should be available as soon as you check it manually.

Rumor: 9to5Google Divulges More Alleged Shamu Specs, Affirms 5.9" Display For Motorola's Nexus

We've been hearing a lot about Volantis lately, but what about the other supposed Nexus device - Shamu? Since we originally broke the story back in July (with the Information affirming Shamu's existence soon after) things have been relatively quiet, with only a benchmark test here or there popping up with alleged specs that seemed to point to a smaller device.

Today, however, 9to5Google has divulged specs and details about the device in which the outlet seems fairly confident.

HTC Teases 'Something Remarkable' For Its NYC Event On October 8th, 'RE Camera' Looks Like A Possible Name [Update: Photos]

Update: A curious Reddit poster tore through the promotional website and found what looks like two photos of the "ReCamera" and a mounting accessory. [lolwut] Sony Adds Three New Xperia Apps To The Play Store So You Can Add Ninjas And Stuff To Your Photos

It's great that OEMs are using the Play Store to distribute apps to their devices these days. However, Sony might be taking it a little far with a trio of new apps for Xperia devices. AR fun, Ninja, and Sticker Creator exist now, and no amount of wishing will make them go away.

Moto 360 Gets Minor System Update (KGW42R) That Fixes A Few Bugs [Updated]

Update: Here's the change log Motorola has shared:

What's new in the KGW42R Moto 360 update:

  • Bluetooth connectivity: Improved Bluetooth connectivity between the watch and phone to reduce momentary disconnects experienced by some users.
  • Charging notification: Added a message to confirm that Moto 360 is charging in cases when its battery is fully depleted.
  • Bug fixes: Implemented bug fixes and other system optimizations.

A number of Moto 360 owners have received a system update that doesn't seem to do anything and leaves the version number the same.
