Lenovo and Motorola announced the G4 and G4 Plus a few weeks ago, and today it appears Moto has published the kernel source for its latest high-end-of-the-low-end (or bottom of the mid-range?) handsets.

[Deal Alert] Moto 360 Sport On Sale For $161.32 Via Amazon

Let's get real—the Moto 360 Sport has not been a successful device for Motorola. It took too long to launch, was too expensive, and didn't look or feel very nice. The original $300 price is in the rear view mirror, and now it's reached an all-time low of $161.32 on Amazon. At that price, I think it's a reasonable purchase.

More Motorola Leaks: 'Style Mod' Replaceable Covers For The Moto X/Z And DROID Come In A Variety Of Materials

Like it or not, it's clear that Motorola's often-leaked upcoming batch of phones will be very different from the relatively straightforward designs in its current lineup. Previous leaks indicated that at least some of the models in the refreshed Moto X (or possibly Moto Z) and DROID series will have add-on modules called "MotoMod" that snap onto the back of the phone via a proprietary interface. It's a lot like the direction that LG is taking with its modular G5.

Fans of the community-created CyanogenMod ROM, your cup runneth over with new gadgets to try out on CM 13 (based on Android 6.0 code). Five new phones and a tablet have been given the nightly treatment in the last week or so, to wit: the OnePlus 2, the Moto X Pure (the US multi-carrier variant of the Moto X Style), Yu's low-priced Yureka, the Oppo R5 and R5s, and the original version of Sony's Xperia Tablet Z. They're all available at their respective download locations under CM's somewhat nebulous device codenames.

The Yureka deserves some special attention here.

Motorola Releases New Camera App In The Play Store, But Only For Its 2016 Devices

Motorola has long had the worst camera app of any mainstream OEM, which is a bummer as the 2015 Moto X Pure had a decent sensor finally. Now, Moto has posted a revamped camera app in the Play Store, but you probably can't use it yet. It's only for use with the company's 2016 devices like the Moto G4 and upcoming Moto X refresh.

New Images Of Upcoming Motorola Droid Phone And MotoMod Accessories Leak

The new (and thoroughly leaked) Motorola devices are expected to be announced at Lenovo Tech World in just a few days, but there's still time for leaking. Motorola May Be Planning To Rename The Moto X Line To Moto Z

[Update: Moto G4 Play Too] Lenovo Announces The Moto G4 And G4 Plus (Or Moto G 2016 If You Like)

[Deal Alert] Several Original Moto 360 Models (Refurbished) Available For $90 With Free Shipping On eBay

The original Moto 360 feels a bit long in the tooth these days, especially since Motorola switched to the more standard Snapdragon 400 system-on-a-chip for the 2015 revision of the watch. (I guess they finally ran out of those dusty IMAP processors.) But for Android fans who have yet to check out Android Wear, or who just want one of the better options from the first-generation lineup for a song, there's a nice eBay deal going on right now. Several variations of the watch are available for $89.99 with free shipping to the US.

Republic Wireless Brings Its A Game: New GSM Partner And Plenty Of Modern Devices To Choose From Starting July

I never thought there would be a day when I'd know this much about US carriers and MVNOs, but this is what happens when you work on a US-based site like Android Police. Republic Wireless though comes a lot less often on our radar, and I just discovered why. Until now, the MVNO only had a couple of devices to choose from. Literally, a couple: the Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen) and Moto E (2nd Gen). It also seems to be ahead of its times, relying on Wi-Fi calling and piggy-backing on Sprint's network when Wi-Fi isn't available.

But things are about to improve by a few leaps and bounds for Republic Wireless.
