Didn't make it to Google I/O? Well, Motorola wants you to get a closer look at the Moto 360 smart watch anyway. In a two minute video demo, we get to see a few watch faces, notifications, and more.

Of particular interest in this video is the way the display works. When not in use, the Moto 360 display appears to be on, but very dim. So you'd be able to look at your wrist and see the time without touching it.

Moto 360 Design Faceoff Winner

The Moto 360 made a brief appearance in the I/O keynote with a very pretty watch face. You won't find very many pretty watch faces in the Moto 360 design contest. Still, the people have voted, and the winner has been picked. It's one David Pascual, who came up with this.

It's an attractive enough design, but there's a lot of stuff on it. It's probably too information-dense to work on a small smart watch screen.

Do you even wrist-type, bro? You totally could with Minuum... I mean, not that you'd necessarily want to, but you'll have the option. The maker of the compact Android keyboard has announced it's working on a version of Minuum for round Android Wear devices like the Moto 360. There's even a GIF demo.

Android 4.4.4 is a thing now, but Sprint Moto X users will have to make do with 4.4.3, which is heading out starting today (build KXA21.12-L1.22). This is one of those times you're going to have to wait your turn, as the OTA is going out in waves.

Motorola's littlest smartphone is getting a little present today in the form of a custom recovery. There is now an official build of TWRP for this super-low cost smartphone, which will make flashing ZIPs and backing up a breeze.

After over 1300 Face-Off contest submissions, Motorola has chosen its 10 favorites Moto 360 face designs to go on to final voting. You can cast your vote(s) now for the design you want to see as an option on the Moto 360 when it comes out later this year. The images run the gamut from clean and simple, to rather complex for a smart watch.

Motorola's newer phones have a lot of little touches that improve the overall experience, one of which is the boot services app. Sounds boring, right? Well, it is most of the time. The exception being days like today when Motorola uses boot services to push out a new boot animation. This time it's got a World Cup theme.

Customized Moto X phones are already a good deal, considering that the standard models are the same price as their retail counterparts, or just a bit more if you want one of those swanky wood backs. But there may be a more practical reason for you to use the Moto Maker service: a bit of free insurance. A Reddit user recently broke the screen on his(?) Verizon Moto X, and after letting Motorola support know, he got a code for a free replacement phone on Moto Maker.

Anyone who has ever tinkered with a Moto X has likely noticed that the popular TWRP recovery didn't offer an official version for this device. There have been some unofficial ports based on the v2.6 branch of TWRP (v2.7 is the current one), but now there's an official version for all your modding needs.

Would you believe that Motorola has been trying to decide what to do with the Photon Q for like...some large number of months? It's true. Up until today, the Motorola Upgrade Portal has been sitting steadily on "Future plan coming soon" for the poor ol' Q. Now, it has been updated to say "This device will remain on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean)" – not much of a shocker there, really.

Oh well, at least folks who may still be using the Photon Q should be approaching the end of their contract at some point in the very near future, assuming the device was purchased shortly after it was released back in August of 2012.
