If there is one question that I get asked nearly everyday, it’s “When is [insert device here] coming out?” Fortunately, that question is now a little bit easier to answer because our friends over at Phandroid have gotten wind of what’s coming down the pike for Verizon this Spring and, if this leak is legitimate, it’s going to be Android-filled. Here is a breakdown of what to expect:

  • April 7, 2011 – Casio Commando, Samsung [DROID] Charge
  • April 14, 2011 – Sony Xperia Play
  • April 28, 2011 – HTC Incredible 2
  • May 5, 2011 – LG Revolution
  • Later in May – Motorola Droid Bionic, Motorola Droid X2, Samsung Galaxy 2 (is this what they're calling the S2?)

It is noted that the Bionic, the Droid X2, and the Galaxy 2 are all going to be 4G devices, with the Incredible 2 simply tagged “Global.”

From the looks of things, this year's "Summer of Droid" will arrive to Verizon early.

Apparently the FCC has had a new Motorola phone submitted to it that sounds like it could possibly be the Droid X2. The phone carries the model ID IHDT56MJ1, which is all we have to work with since Motorola apparently requested that the device's name remain anonymous for 180 days (roughly six months for those who had trouble in math). If the conclusion of the period of anonymity coincides with the phone's launch, that would put it at August or September, which sounds reasonable to us for a Droid X2 launch.

The two pictures on the left below were not snooped from the FCC, but were from a leak last month picked up by TheMobiZone, supposedly showing the Droid X's sequel.

Were the four phones (and the one amazing tablet) Verizon announced at CES not enough for you? Then you'll be happy to hear that Droid Life has unearthed two more devices headed Verizon's way: the Motorola Droid X2 and the HTC Incredible 2.

Unfortunately, the Droid X2 will not feature a LTE radio, although it will pack a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor. Interested? Droid Life says Verizon is planning to release the device in May.

As for the Incredible 2, it is said to be an improved version of HTC's original Incredible, complete with a larger screen and a global radio.
