It looks like the recently-rumored LG Intuition for Verizon could be coming to fruition within the next week. According to some leaked shots from Verizon's equipment guide, the overly-large device should hit Big Red's website on September 6th, with retail availability from the 10th.

For those who may be unaware, the Intuition is Verizon's version of the oddly proportioned LG Optimus Vu. Featuring a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, 1GB RAM, 8MP rear shooter, Android 4.0.x, and 4:3 5" 1024x768 display, the Intuition is the device designed for folks with big and hands and even bigger heads.

There's been a fundamental problem holding back the development of gadgets for the last decade or so. While processing power, storage capacity, wireless speed, and even display quality are growing at a phenomenal and steady rate, lithium ion batteries really haven't changed at all. The best that manufacturers can do is either create smaller components to make more space for the battery bay or make those components more efficient. LG Chem has created one of the first truly exciting innovations in battery tech in a long time: a Li-ion battery that's flexible enough to twist into almost any shape necessary.

Great news for owners of the MyTouch Q, which welcomed the advent of official CyanogenMod tonight. No, not that MyTouch Q. The other one. I know, the naming scheme is not confusing at all.

Definition: A "nightly" is a bleeding edge release that is built on a daily basis, usually at night after a full day's worth of new code has been committed.

It could oftentimes be unstable and not properly tested, lacking any changelogs, but eventually evolving into alphas, betas, release candidates, and finally stable releases.

Hot on the heels of yesterday's announcement of the Optimus G, LG has just unveiled a new device called the Optimus L9. As a successor to the L3, L5, and L7, the L9 features a 4.7" display, 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage, and Android 4.0.

While its specs are pretty middle-of-the-line, the L9 has a couple of tricks up its sleeve, like an app called QTransalor that LG claims can scan and translate up to 44 different languages.

The LG Optimus G, the tantalizing flagship device for which LG released an teaser video last week, is finally official.

The phone, which we know to be packing a 4.7" 1280x768 display, 2GB RAM, a 1.5GHz quad-core S4 Pro processor, and a 13MP rear camera, is slated to launch in Korea next month, followed by a yet undated global release expected to start with Japan in either October or November.

While the original Stratosphere is in line to get a kinda-sorta ICS-esque update, it looks like its successor is already in the pipeline for VZW. Unoriginally dubbed the Stratosphere 2, the device carries the same slide-out QWERTY and 4" Super AMOLED display as its predecessor; other than that, details are pretty non-existent. We probably wouldn't be too off base to assume it'll have some sort of dual-core processor and around 1GB of RAM, but past that, it's hard to say.

LG has launched a teaser for its next flagship smartphone. While we don't have a name for this device just yet, the specs are very impressive. The phone will be powered by a quad-core S4 Pro processor (APQ8064) with an Adreno 320 GPU. As you may recall, the dual-core S4 is the chip that manages to give the Tegra 3 a run for its money in some benchmarks due to its 28nm architecture (versus the Tegra 3's 40nm).

We've known for a while that Verizon is slated to get its own variant of the massive LG Vu, but it seems the "Vu" name just isn't good enough for Big Red. According to a new leak that landed in the hands of Droid Life, the Vu for Verizon is slated to be named the... wait for it... LG Intuition.

While we don't know exactly when it will be available, the Vu Intuition should be available for $199 with a two-year agreement ($549 off contract).  Looks like this is as close as we're getting to a phablet on Verizon; unless, of course, the rumored 5" HTC monster becomes a reality.

After an exclusive stint in South Korea and Japan, LG's Optimus Vu is about to take various other parts of the world by storm. Select countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America will be seeing the Vu hit store shelves in September, and I imagine it's going to be pretty hard to miss. It's big. That's the joke.

LG's press release says the Vu "blurs the line" between phones and tablets for a "truly unique experience." I'll certainly buy that.

Way back in November, LG took to Facebook to announce that its high-end handsets would be receiving an upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich. Of course, that was eight months ago. A lot can change in that time. Now, LG Canada's twitter account is saying that the Optimus 2X will not be upgraded, and that LG's previous comment on the subject was a "general statement issued from HQ."

Of course, it's a little hard to understand how "the LG Optimus 2X will receive an upgrade to ICS" could be interpreted as a "general statement".
