Possible T-Mobile Roadmap Leaked, Reveals New Devices From HTC, LG & Motorola

T-Mobile may not have the most impressive Android line-up compared to the other major carriers, but there’s no doubt they’ve invested a lot into the platform – after all, they were the first to bring us Android with the G1. Their investment in Android shows no signs of slowing down, as a leaked T-Mobile roadmap shows us that the carrier is planning on launching a total of seven more Android devices this year.

LG Ally Delayed Until May 27

Just like most Verizon Android phones, the LG Ally garnered plenty of hype with its advertising campaign – in this case, it was used as a promotional tie-in with Iron Man 2. With only a 600 MHz CPU and 3.2MP camera, it’s a pretty mid-range phone, but you’re also getting Android 2.1 and hardware keyboard, so at $99 it’s not an awful phone.

The phone was set for release on May 20, but now it seems that release has been pushed back.

Yesterday BGR leaked a few documents providing pretty much all the details on the new LG Ally Android phone except its price, and today Verizon filled in the only missing piece of the puzzle in the official LG Ally press release.

Come tomorrow, May 13th, you'll be able to preorder this relatively low-end but still pretty sweet phone for $100 after a $100 rebate on a 2-year contract.

For a budget phone that already runs Android 2.1, has a 600MHz processor, a 3.2" screen, a 3.2MP camera, a full hardware keyboard, 802.11b/g and n support, and a 4GB microSD memory card, $99.99 is not a bad deal at all.

LG Eclipse/LU2300 Info Leaked - Can Powerful Specs Make Up For A Creepy Psychedelic UI?

As you may have heard, LG has big plans for a little Android smartphone called Eclipse/LU2300. The company has not really done a whole lot with Android thus far, so it’s good to see them starting to make a serious smartphone that runs Android.

Two things that you will want to know, especially if you are a G1 owner and love the physical keyboard are:

  • this phone includes a Snapdragon processor and
  • it sports a physical keyboard

Yet Another Custom UI

However, what you will want to punch yourself in the nose about is the fact that LG seems to be yet another custom UI of their own on top of Android which looks a whole lot like the Sense UI by HTC, except it uses more fruity, psychedelic, bright colors (I believe the term for their shade of blue is "cupcake blue" or "there-goes-my-manhood-blue").
