If you own a Verizon HTC One, it's time to start tapping that "check for updates" button. Following Friday's announcement by HTC of an Android 4.3 firmware update, Verizon has updated its support PDF for the device with a full changelog. The new firmware version is 2.10.605.1. In addition to the obvious OS upgrade, there seems to be a fair number of bug fixes including:
- Increased charging speed when using Mophie Juicepack power station
- Corrected faint ringing noise from earpiece
- Play purchased ringtones
- Connection error fixed in the HTC Watch application
- View the correct date using the all day calendar reminder
- Conjunction words are better recognized on device keyboard
- Backup Assistant performance

If Verizon's HTC One is your daily carry, good things are afoot: according to HTC Product Management Director @Moversi, the company has approved the 4.3 OTA and it should begin rolling out next week. This news comes roughly six weeks after HTC America President Jason Mackenzie stated that they company would need "more time to spin new [software] and re-test the 4.3 update," which was said to take approximately a month. If you own an HTC One GPE, it's time to start keeping an eye on your system update screen. HTC has released kernel source and framework files for the new update and people are beginning to report receiving the actual update. The firmware version is 3.62.1700.1, which is Android 4.4.2/KOT49H. This brings the HTC One GPE up to date with current Nexus devices.

Verizon posted details surround an incoming update for the DROID DNA several months ago that would bring the device up to Android 4.2.2 and dress it up with Sense 5, but an OTA never came. Now that's changing, as Verizon has officially announced it and provided a detailed overview of changes owners can expect. The update will provide an experience similar to that on the HTC One, with features such as BlinkFeed, quick settings, and improved Sense apps making their way over to what was 2012's best DROID. There are still a few months to go before the standard HTC One gets upgraded to Android 4.4, but in the meantime, Sprint is rolling out a minor OTA to the aluminum-bodied flagship. This update addresses an issue following a previous upgrade where users were presented with a "No SIM Card" message informing them that 4G LTE will not work without the required card.
