Community developer LlabTooFeR has reason to believe that Android 4.2 will, in fact, be coming to HTC's One S. Sprint's HTC One Getting A Small OTA Update (1.31.651.2) With HD Voice Enhancements And Ringtone Tweak

Prepare to temper your expectations, HTC One owners on Sprint. In the coming days you will see the update notification pop up, but it's not Android 4.2. It's not even a very substantial update. But hey, it's still an update, and that's more than a lot of phones get.

HTC Publishes, Pulls Post Teasing The HTC One Mini, Will "Bring The One Experience To As Many People As Possible"

Update: The post has now been published.

Just a few minutes ago, it seems someone over at the official HTC blog pulled the trigger on an HTC One Mini teaser campaign a bit early. A post titled "Little Things That Pack a BIG Punch" was live for a few moments, only to quickly disappear. It was a pretty obvious hint at the upcoming HTC One Mini, which is perhaps best-known at this point as HTC's worst-kept secret.

Leaked Verizon Roadmap Allegedly Pins Down HTC One And Moto X Launch Dates

In what PhoneArena calls a "leaked internal memo," launch dates for the Verizon versions of the HTC One and the upcoming Moto X are allegedly revealed - August 1st and August 23rd, respectively. It also adds to the growing pile of evidence that the Moto X will be coming to Verizon sans-DROID branding. Is there any reason to take stock in this rather generic looking document, though?

My gut leaning is "yes," but there are caveats to leaked internal communications like these.

HTC Releases Kernel Source For The HTC First

HTC has dropped the kernel source files for the HTC First, an AT&T exclusive we reviewed back in May. These source materials will allow the First's [few] developers to provide better support for the device, and make custom kernels a possibility. Of course, this all depends on the development community, and I'm not sure just how much of a following the First has in that regard.

Two kernel source versions are available, for builds 1.08.502.1 and 1.05.502.1.

[Editorial] The Revolution That Wasn't: The "Google Play Edition" Galaxy S4 And HTC One Are Missing The Point

And I'd probably secretly hope that they did exist, too. These handsets, or really, the idea behind them, have been the enduring dream of almost every Android enthusiast from the early days of MOTOBLUR and TouchWiz.
