HTC One A9 Now Available From AT&T Online For $520, In Stores November 6th

The HTC One A9 is a fun phone to mock, but as it turns out, it's also a fun phone to use. And if you're an AT&T customer, your chance to do so has arrived.

The carrier offers HTC's first Marshmallow-running device in Carbon Gray and Opal Silver. Either way, you're paying $520. Yes, that's a big leap up from the $400 introductory price, but that's why we call them deals (edit: so you might want to jump on that while you still can).

Since this is AT&T we're talking about, you have no shortage of ways to part with your money.

HTC One A9 Review: Pretty, Pretty, Pretty Good (Pretty Good)

At a wedding reception this past Saturday, I finally had a chance to put the HTC One A9 side-by-side with an iPhone 6. “It looks just like an iPhone. Even the little camera bump looks similar,” remarked the person whose iDevice I had temporarily pilfered for this little visual experiment.

I was forced to agree. Flip them over, of course, and the story changes. HTC’s phone, with its elongated speaker grille, HTC logo, and Samsung-pill-style capacitive home key and fingerprint scanner is noticeably distinguishable from any iPhone - and really no different from any other white Android phone in that regard.

[Deal Alert] HTC Re Camera Fire Sale: Pick One Up For Just $50 ($150 Off Original Price)

When HTC announced its stand-alone Re sports camera, more than one commenter wondered what the company was doing leaving its smartphone comfort zone for an industry that's already dominated by a single player. Though the Re camera is decent enough on its own and the design is completely unique, it's not enough to sway potential buyers away from GoPro and Sony cameras, which have more features and an established reputation. Apparently someone at HTC agrees, because the camera is being discounted by a whopping 75%.

That brings the price down to just $50, well into impulse buy territory and much more palatable than the original $200 retail price.

HTC's New 'Restore' App Is Only For Android 6.0 Devices (Which HTC Doesn't Have Yet)

HTC has promised to reveal an Android 6.0-powered device on October 20th, and that event is just around the corner next Tuesday. But the company hasn't released any upgrades for its current devices just yet (not that anyone really expected them to at this point). Despite that, HTC just released a new app on the Play Store, HTC Restore, which is only compatible with Marshmallow HTC phones. All none of them. Presumably the app is on the Play Store in advance of that new phone, which we expect to be the HTC One A9 "Aero."

HTC A9 'Aero' Makes Another Leaked Appearance Ahead Of Possible Announcement Later This Month

HTC needs a hit. Desperately. According to ComScore they held less than 4% of smartphones in the US in the second quarter of this year, and IDC's worldwide statistics didn't even record the company, lumping it in with "others" and presumably rating it well below Lenovo's 4.7% marketshare. The leaks of the HTC (One?) A9, also known as the Aero, indicate that the company is hoping a slim, stylish, and undeniably derivative design are going to help it win new customers with its next major release.

The latest set of leaks come from Twitter, where OnLeaks posted a series of photos of what appear to be a near-finished version of the phone in black, though it's labeled as a dummy unit.

HTC Views Breast Cancer Awareness Month As The Perfect Time To Sell The Pink HTC One M9 Here In The States

We're at the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness month, which means now is a good opportunity to take whatever product you're selling and offer it in pink. HTC has decided to do precisely that. If you want to raise awareness of breast cancer or merely draw attention to that colorful piece of metal you keep raising to your ear, then you're the person who should take advantage of this time to buy a limited edition pink GSM HTC One M9. You can even have the pink ribbon imprinted on the back.

If this hot pink device looks familiar, that's because HTC showed off its flagship in this color back when it launched the device in Taiwan seven months ago.

Are you excited to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens? HTC Promises A Marshmallow Phone On October 20th, Shows Which Devices Can Expect An Update Starting By The End Of This Year

There's a lot to take in today. The new Nexus devices are official. There are two of them. And while both will ship with Android 6.0, folks will more likely get their hands on Marshmallow using older devices before the new ones start shipping.
