HTC Announces The Beefed-Up One M9+ With Fingerprint Scanner, Duo Camera, And MediaTek Processor, But Only For China So Far

I hope you weren't too attached to that shiny new HTC One M9, at least in its capacity as the company's top-of-the-line smartphone. Just a few weeks after revealing the new M9 at Mobile World Congress, HTC has taken the wraps off of the previously-leaked One M9+. This larger and more technically advanced phone one-ups its little brother with a bigger, sharper screen, a built-in fingerprint scanner, and the return of HTC's Duo camera design.

The Google Play Edition program seems to have been mostly forgotten by Google and its hardware partners, but at least those devices that were released are still getting steady updates. The latest one to be blessed with Android 5.1 is HTC's One M8 Google Play Edition from last year.

If you have been on the fence about whether or not to purchase Google's latest tablet, the Nexus 9, Best Buy may have made your decision a little easier. For the next two days, the blue box store is discounting the price of the 16GB model by $75, bringing the price down to a more reasonable $325. The verdict is still out among Android Police staff on whether or not this is a great tablet, but a lower price might make up for some of its warts.

HTC Announces The One M8s For Europe: Basically The One M8 With A Cheaper Chipset And A 13MP Camera

OK, so maybe HTC's 2015 flagship isn't exactly sizzling hot (in the figurative sense, anyway). If you're in Europe, you'll soon have a less expensive option that has a lot in common with last year's model. HTC has announced the One M8s, a re-heated (sorry) take on the original One M8 from 2014. It's almost identical to its predecessor, both inside and outside, save for two major changes: the processor and the camera.

[April Fools] HTC Announces The RE Sok, The Smartest Socks Your Feet Will Never Wear

When HTC announced the RE camera, an inhaler-shaped device that lacks a viewfinder of its own, it seemed like great fodder for an April Fools joke. But no, that product was real, and it actually exists.

So what has the Taiwanese manufacturer come up with as a truly absurd product, something even it wouldn't consider turning into reality? Why, the RE Sok.

HTC One M9 Review: The Phone Only HTC Could Build... For The Third Time

HTC was one of Android's earliest supporters. When the Dream launched in 2009, little did HTC likely know that its fortunes would skyrocket in the few years after, along with its share of the smartphone market. Not long after, though, those fortunes began to wane - with the launch of the original One series (One X, S, V), HTC's first attempt to rebrand its smartphone design image began.
