While the deal advertises the phone as 30% off the normal $899 price tag (yep, that math checks out), we have managed to find the phone cheaper elsewhere, but not that cheap.

[Video] HTC Helps Viewers "Get To Know" The EVO 4G LTE From Design To Manufacturing In New Video

In a fascinating new video titled "Get to know the HTC EVO 4G LTE," HTC explains the ins and outs of Sprint's One X variant, from the conceptualization of its design, to decisions surrounding build quality, materials, and a pretty interesting explanation of the new EVO's soft-touch unibody form.

Senior Director of Advanced Materials Chris Porter details the EVO's soft-touch feel in the video, explaining that the device has a "warm, velvety, soft-touch feel as opposed to a harder, rougher, cold metal feel." Porter explains that creating the effect involves sand/grit-blasting the device's frame, followed by a light chemical etching process to remove the sharp "peaks." The EVO's design also utilizes around 100 custom-designed machine cutters, used to create exactly the right geometry and feel for each device.

HTC One X Handily Beats The Galaxy Nexus And Xperia S In Camera Speed Test Video, Shows Off Burst Mode Just To Brag

Begun, the camera shutter wars have. Ever since Samsung and Google debuted the Galaxy Nexus' zero shutter lag feature, handset makers have been cranking up their camera apps. Sony's Xperia S is a 12MP monster camera with a fast shutter, but the real speed demon here is the HTC One X. In the video below, the only area the One X loses is in not having a dedicated camera button. As a side note, manufacturers, why don't your phones with amazing cameras have dedicated camera buttons?

As you can see in the first tests, the Xperia S beats the HTC One X in the sleep mode test because it can wake directly to the camera app via the dedicated camera button.

AT&T's HTC One X Release Date Possibly Outed As May 6th, According To Best Buy

Many AT&T customers have been chomping at the bit waiting for any word on when the upcoming HTC One X could hit the scene, and thanks to Best Buy, we may finally have an idea as to when that may be.

The Double B has been taking pre-orders for the One X for a few weeks now, but even then, didn't tell customers when they could expect their glorious new handset to arrive. However, one customer recently received an email from Best Buy stating that the "release date for [their] pre-ordered item" had changed to May 6, 2012.

Since we didn't actually know of a release date in the first place, we're not entirely sure what "changed" about this, but that makes little difference now.

New Rumors About Sprint's Variant Of The HTC One X Surface, Could Be Called The EVO One

So here we go - the rumor mill is really starting to churn out some seemingly solid details about Sprint's supposed version of the upcoming HTC One X. We first heard about this device shortly after the One X's official announcement back at Mobile World Congress, then rumored to be called the Jewel. Rumors later suggested the name internal name was actually Jet, but few other details have made their way to the masses - until now. 

I briefly suggested that the name of the device could be the EVO LTE, as it's said to be the newest successor in the EVO line.

Sprint And HTC To Make Announcement On April 4th, Will Almost Certainly Be Sprint Version Of The One X

Update: We've blurred out some information from the invite at Sprint's request. Excuse the artistic license taken. By the way, the announcement will take place in New York City and starts at 5:30PM EST sharp. Oh, and the blurred out part at the bottom said "click here." In case you were wondering.

A handful of media outlets have begun receiving invitations to an event showcasing HTC and Sprint's "latest collaboration," and if it's anything other than an EVO-branded version of HTC's new flagship device, the One X, we'll be thoroughly surprised.

HTC One X For Sprint Details Surface, Rumored To Be Codenamed 'Jet' And Possibly Arriving In June

In late February, we reported on a rumored HTC device very similar to the ONE X potentially heading to Sprint called the Jewel. New information about this device has now surfaced thanks to the crew over at S4GRU, but it turns out that it may not be codenamed Jewel after all - internally, it's being called the Jet.

The Jet is said to be identical to the One X in every way, except it's packing CDMA1X/EV-DO/LTE radios instead of the GSM/LTE radios of its AT&T counterpart. The Jet is rumored to be Sprint's third LTE device (behind the Galaxy Nexus and LG Viper) and the successor to the groundbreaking EVO 4G.

[Video] HTC Shows Off 'One' Line In Series Of Promotional Videos

Building on the hype surrounding HTC's new line of Android-powered smartphones, the Taiwanese manufacturer has released a series of promotional videos, showcasing the HTC One series and each device's individual strengths.

For those who may have somehow missed the buzz thus far, HTC's One series is packing some pretty impressive hardware, from the One X with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, to the more budget-minded One V with its 1GHz processor and pocket-friendly 3.7" display. First up in the video onslaught is the One X, the biggest and baddest of the new lineup.

Clove UK Opens Up Pre-Orders For HTC's One X, One S, And One V (Due For Launch In April)

Just as HTC announced its new One line of Android-powered smartphones, Clove, in an HTC One blog takeover, announced that pre-orders are now open for all three devices. Clove also divulged each device's price, full specs, and expected release date.

The HTC One X, perhaps the most impressive of the new line, is slated for release on April 5th, carrying a price tag of £410.00 (or about $645) not including VAT. On top of its awesome specs (listed in the handy image below), the One X is available in either white or grey. While it appears that the international version of the One X will carry a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, it's worth noting that AT&T's version (which will debut later) will in fact be running with a dual-core Snapdragon S4.

[MWC 2012] AT&T Announces HTC One X, Will Feature LTE, Qualcomm Dual-Core Instead Of Tegra 3 Quad-Core

Shortly after the announcement from HTC CEO Peter Chou at Mobile World Congress that AT&T would be a launch partner for the new One X, the US's number two carrier let fly a press release confirming the statement. What's there to take from it? Not much.

The primary differentiating features of AT&T's version will be a dual-core Snapdragon S4 (as opposed to quad-core Tegra 3) processor, as well as LTE connectivity. If you're wondering why AT&T is getting stuck with half the cores of the international GSM version of the device, you can look to LTE as the culprit. Basically, NVIDIA's Tegra 3 processor doesn't have any currently available radio configurations that will support LTE (though it will in the future), while Qualcomm and Texas Instruments have been the go-to choices for devices utilizing the new network technology.
