ClockworkMod Touch Recovery Now Available For The HTC One S And One X

Well, that was fast. Not more than a week after the release of the HTC One X and S in Europe, and Koush has already pumped out a fully working version of ClockworkMod Touch for the pair.

If you have any of the devices supported by CWM Touch and you aren't running it, then you're seriously missing out. Touch recovery is, by far, the most intuitive way to use recovery on your device.

If you're waiting for the One S to hit T-Mobile, a new piece of information just hit the scene that may be of interest to you. This particular piece of information clearly shows the release date for the device: April 22.

You know the drill with this sort of thing, though: this is just a rumor and it could change at a moments notice. With that said, this leak appears to be pretty official, so it looks like T-Mo is pretty dang close to getting its first HTC device with ICS (if the Amaze or Sensation updates don't roll out first, that is).

[Video] HTC Explains The Process Used To Create The One S' Super Durable Body – "Almost Like Lightning Striking The Phone"

Taiwanese manufacturer HTC released a short video today explaining the process used to create the One S' unique, durable body. For those who need a refresher, the One S is 1/3 of HTC's new 'One' line of phones, debuted at MWC this year. The One S is just below the One X, and just above the One V spec-wise, carrying a 4.3" Super AMOLED display, 8MP camera, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and a super slender 7.95mm profile.

HTC's video shows off a process called Micro Arc Oxidation, or MAO, which one HTC representative compares to "lightning striking the phone." As 10,000 volts hit the aluminum body, a microscopic reaction takes place, forming a ceramic surface on the metal.

[MWC 2012] Hands-On With The HTC One S - Like The One X, But Smaller

Last night we got some hands-on time with HTC's new family of smartphones - the One series. While we didn't get a hands-on video with the One X (largely due to a dead battery), we did spend a fair amount of time with the One S, which shares most of its hardware with its larger sibling.

The main difference between the two lies in the displays. The One S packs a 4.3" SAMOLED qHD display (540x960), while the One X has HTC's new 4.7" S-LCD2 HD screen (1280x720). Both share the same Qualcomm S4 dual-core processor, clocked at 1.5GHz (the international version of the One X will have a quad-core Tegra 3, but not in the US).

Building on the hype surrounding HTC's new line of Android-powered smartphones, the Taiwanese manufacturer has released a series of promotional videos, showcasing the HTC One series and each device's individual strengths.

For those who may have somehow missed the buzz thus far, HTC's One series is packing some pretty impressive hardware, from the One X with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, to the more budget-minded One V with its 1GHz processor and pocket-friendly 3.7" display. First up in the video onslaught is the One X, the biggest and baddest of the new lineup.

Clove UK Opens Up Pre-Orders For HTC's One X, One S, And One V (Due For Launch In April)

Just as HTC announced its new One line of Android-powered smartphones, Clove, in an HTC One blog takeover, announced that pre-orders are now open for all three devices. Clove also divulged each device's price, full specs, and expected release date.

HTC One X

The HTC One X, perhaps the most impressive of the new line, is slated for release on April 5th, carrying a price tag of £410.00 (or about $645) not including VAT. On top of its awesome specs (listed in the handy image below), the One X is available in either white or grey. While it appears that the international version of the One X will carry a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, it's worth noting that AT&T's version (which will debut later) will in fact be running with a dual-core Snapdragon S4.

[MWC 2012] T-Mobile USA To Carry HTC One S, Its Thinnest Smartphone Yet - Available In Spring 2012

HTC has just unveiled its new 2012 One flagship series of phones, at least one of which T-Mobile USA is going to introduce in the United States this spring - the HTC One S. Of the three variants announced today, the One S is the thinnest - it's only 7.95mm thick. In fact, it's so thin that T-Mobile has never carried another phone that could beat it in that department, which it was quite happy to highlight this afternoon.

The HTC One S sports a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, Android 4.0 with the newest Sense 4 and Image Sense, an advanced 8MP camera with an F/2.0 lens and 0.7s shot time as well as HSPA+42 capabilities on the network side.

[MWC 2012] HTC Finally Reveals The "One" Series: One X, One S, And One V

We've been hearing hints and rumors about HTC's plans for MWC for some time, but now we have finally gotten to see how they have re-invented. Enter the One series, a collection of three devices - the One X, One S, and One V.

All three are utilizing the redesigned Sense 4 over Ice Cream Sandwich. In addition to a host of new visual changes, Sense 4 includes new picture taking software called "ImageSense" that, in conjunction with new camera hardware, promises better pictures than any other phone.

HTC One X

The most high-end is the One X, with a 4.7" HD display, an 8 megapixel camera (with ImageSense - HTC's camera app, post-processing tech, and rapid-fire capture system), an NFC chip, and 1080p video recording.
