Official Team Win Recovery Now Available For The HTC Butterfly 2

The HTC Butterfly 2 is a phone forever trapped in a nightmarish puberty of HTC industrial design. It uses high-end specifications like a 1080p screen and a Snapdragon 801 processor, but its plastic body is a step below HTC's flagships. It's packing a 13 megapixel rear camera, not unlike the newer Desire Eye, but it's saddled with the secondary Duo camera from the HTC One M8 (which is probably gone for the M9).

Android 4.3 And Sense 5.5 OTA Update Rolling Out To The Original HTC Butterfly

Last month the upgraded Butterfly S got the last version of Jelly Bean and the shiny new Sense 5.5 UI, and it looks like HTC's software team has worked their way to the original Butterfly model. Noted HTC leaker @LlabTooFer posted the over-the-air update screen this morning, and at least one blog showed the same software update going out in Malaysia yesterday. According to a Twitter reply, the Taiwanese variant is being updated as well.

HTC Releases Kernel Source For Butterfly, Desire SV, And One VX

Get excited: HTC just dropped the kernel source for three handsets (admittedly, very late). Specifically, the HTC Butterfly, Desire SV, and One VX.
