Google has just posted updated factory images and driver binaries for the Nexus 7 (2013 and 2012), Nexus 4, Nexus 10, and Galaxy Nexus (yakju / takju variants) based on the new Android 4.3 bugfix builds JWR66Y and JSS15Q (2013 Nexus 7 only). The new builds follow OTA updates that have been rolling out over the last couple of days.
You can get the binaries and images at the links below. Read More
Update: It looks like the seller has increased the price to $175, which makes this not such a good deal.
The 2013 Nexus 7 is probably the best Android tablet you can buy now, but the 2012 model has been given a new lease on life with the Android 4.3 update. If you still want one, the 32GB last-generation Nexus 7 is on sale through eBay Daily Deal today for a downright reasonable $139.99. Read More

There's not shortage of photo editing apps on Android, but Smoothie Photo Editor is definitely one of the prettier ones I've seen. Read More
The new Nexus 7 is just now filtering out to expectant owners, and Google itself hasn't even shipped the product. That hasn't stopped Poetic from tweaking its popular Slimline case to fit the new Nexus. The case won't ship until August 23rd, but it's going to launch for only $5.99.
The Slimline is a flip case with a folding cover that can prop up the tablet in landscape orientation. The versions for the 2012 N7 and Nexus 10 have gotten good reviews, especially considering the low price. Read More
Update: Well, it seems someone at Google was a bit confused, as LTE has been added back to the European specification of the new Nexus 7, including band 20. Crisis averted.
The last generation of Nexus devices was stuck with HSPA+ mobile data, but with the new N7 Google has stepped into the 4G world. However, it seems like that world may be smaller than we previously thought. The specification page for the Nexus 7 has been tweaked to remove LTE bands from the European version, leaving it with only HSPA+. Read More
Well, that didn't take long. TeamWin has just dropped a new version of its TWRP custom recovery designed specifically for the Flo – the new Nexus 7. As usual, it's a fairly simple procedure with a Nexus device to get a custom recovery running, which allows you to flash root. The Android 4.3 SuperSU file is already out there, so we're ready to go.
Note: This is an adaptation of my Nexus 4 update/root post, so it has some duplicate content, but all the instructions and images are specific to the Nexus 7.
Android 4.3 was officially unveiled and released yesterday to the Android Open Source Project. In a surprisingly timely fashion, Google also released both the factory images and OTAs to the Nexus 4, 7, 10, and the Galaxy Nexus.

Update 2: Both models are now out of stock on Staples.com - bummer!
Update: The 16GB version is now out of stock on Staples.com, but the 32GB model is still going strong.
Looking to pick up that brand-new Nexus 7 on the cheap? I guess cheap is a relative term, but this Staples deal will certainly make acquiring Google's newest slate cheaper, slashing $30 off your total before taxes. Read More
Looks like everyone jumped the gun on this one, including Google itself. You can already buy the new Nexus 7 from Amazon, Best Buy, and some Walmart stores, but now both the 16GB and 32GB versions are available directly from Google Play.
If you've ordered the 2013 Nexus 7 model from Best Buy, check your email - at least one Android Police staff member has received confirmation that the new tablet is ready for in-store pickup. Twitter was alight last night and this morning with some retail customers who managed to snag one off the shelves as well. Both 16GB and 32GB models are apparently being sold freely at at least some brick-and-mortar locations, at the standard $229 and $269 prices. Read More
