We already know the 32GB Nexus 7 exists. Some guy actually got one by mistake - in Japan. We've seen it at online stores in the US, online stores in Europe, and even Canada. It is bar-none Google's worst-kept secret ever.

What we have not seen, though, is a 32GB Nexus 7 actually physically in these United States. As of today, we know they're here - at Staples.

There's no secret anymore. Hasn't been for a while now. But, just in case you need a little more convincing that the 32GB Nexus 7 is a real thing, it has now made an appearance on two more retailers' websites: Dixons Retail for €199.99 (screenshot below) and Argos for £199.99. It also made a brief cameo at Best Buy Canada for $269, but the page has since been pulled. Good thing we have Google Cache to prove it was there.

Add another chapter to the Nexus 7 32GB saga. We've seen it once, twice, three times - and now it has showed up on Staples Advantage (their site for business users) with an estimated availability date of October 18th. That's probably just some sort of placeholder, though - it's highly unlikely that we'll see it show up in just two days' time.

The price shows as a few dollars less than the 16GB version, which lines up with previous rumors that the 32 may actually replace the 16 - a questionable move on Google's part, no doubt.

Yesterday, Android maintainer JBQ posted up a number of binaries and Android 4.1.2 images for multiple Nexus devices. Owners of international GSM variants of the Galaxy Nexus, though, were left out on the image side. Today, both the "soju" (Nexus S) and "yakju" (Galaxy Nexus GSM) have had their factory images updated to Android 4.1.2, and you can find those images here.

Google also saw fit to finally release a factory image for the Nexus Q, though it's based on Android 4.0.4.

If you're among the many, many potential Nexus 7 users who think that 8GB (or even 16GB) is a little on the wimpy side for a modern tablet, you may have cause to celebrate soon enough. The Spanish storefront of Phone House (the international arm of UK-based Carphone Warehouse) has a promotional page up for the Google-branded tablet in a 32GB flavor, listing for 279€. My Spanish is a little rusty, but it looks like the typical "sign up for more information" pre-sale page.

If you're a developer, you've likely been chomping at the bit for Google to release the updated binaries and full device images after yesterday's Android 4.1.2 release. Just moments ago, Android maintainer JBQ placed 4.1.2 driver binaries for all maintained Nexus devices on the Google Developers site, as well as updated factory images (JZO54K) for the Nexus 7 and "takju" and "maguro" variants of the Galaxy Nexus.

These files are absolutely essential for tinkerers and developers wanting to stay on the cutting edge of Android, and Google has always been pretty on top of getting them out in a timely fashion.

If you want to update your Nexus 7 to official Android 4.1.2 that started rolling out earlier today but your turn hasn't come yet, you have two options: wait (possibly for a while) or flash it manually. The latter is absolutely safe and lets you bypass the line without any risk whatsoever. Even better - you don't even need to be rooted or running a custom recovery - updating with Jelly Bean and full stock recovery is easier than ever before.

Android maintainer "JBQ" just broke the news that Android 4.1.2 was being released into AOSP today, and now we're hearing that a matching OTA update is being pushed to the Nexus 7 as we speak. It's 31.3MB in size, and the build number JZO54K. If you're not finding the update when you check, don't worry - it'll get there. The rollout is likely staggered and limited to a smaller group of devices to start.

There have been rumors over the last few weeks that Google and Asus are planning to release a new version of the Nexus 7 with 32GB of storage. We previously saw a screenshot from a Carphone Warehouse inventory computer that included this device. Now we've found not one, not two, but three more online listings for the 32GB Nexus 7. This is looking like a lock, folks.

32GB

All three listings have the same part number and two of them have a matching UPC included.
