Obviously, the 1.5Mbps upload speed won't be consistent everywhere, as reception varies (significantly, with Sprint). Also notable is that if you're using a "fixed device" (i.e. a Motorola 4G desktop modem), you won't be affected; the 1.0Mbps speed cap is on your device to stay.
You saw some of the leaked Bionic pictures earlier today, but now thanks to PhoneHK we can give you even more information about the upcoming monster of a Motorola handset. First and foremost, this thing will (at least according to this test unit) be running Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread right out of the gate:

Well, looky at what Engadget got a hold of - a leaked internal document from Sprint's Reward Me site that just so happens to show a possible release date for the HTC EVO View 4G (the WiMax version of the HTC Flyer). Have a look:
As you can see, the View 4G should hit shelves in on June 24th (and no, that's not the price listed beside it ), which happens to be same date that the EVO 3D is rumored to be landing on the Now Network as well.
Invigorating news out of the (virtual) Sprint press rooms today: the nation's third-largest national carrier is teaming up with none other than Motorola for an "exclusive luncheon event" on June 9. The invite itself was decidedly vague about any possible announcements, only confirming that both Dan Hesse and Sanjay Jha will be at the event and that there will be "hands-on demonstrations of Sprint and Motorola's latest collaborations."
But fortunately for the impatient amongst us, the rumor mill never stops turning, and TechnoBuffalo has heard from a "very well-positioned source" that the highlight of the event will be the Photon 4G.
The tech world has been abuzz about NFC (near field communication) for the last several months, and it appears that Big Goog may be rolling out the mobile payment service that utilizes it in a couple of days. According to Bloomberg, Google has a press event set for May 26th, where the service should be officially announced. The initial launch is rumored to include five cities - New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Washington D.C.
Remember last month when Intel CEO Paul Otellini said that they were actively working on porting Honeycomb to x86 processors with hopes of providing us with Intel powered Honeycomb tablets within the year? Well, it turns out that Acer may unveil the first tablet of the bunch at Computex this year: a 10.1 inch, Oak Trail sporting beast, according to Digitimes.
It's rumored that we could see this yet-unnamed tablet on the streets as early as July, but we'll just have to wait and see how that pans out.
Rumors of Amazon's first foray into the tablet world seem to be solidifying. Today, BGR received a tip adding credibility to the potential "family" of devices that the online giant is supposedly prepping. While these devices remain squarely in the realm of rumor, the few details that can be gleaned are pretty juicy.
The tip gave some info on two different tablets: "Coyote," an entry level tablet that will be running NVDIA's dual-core Tegra 2 processor, and "Hollywood" - a higher end device powered by NVIDIA's forthcoming quad-core Kal-El SoC.
The HTC Holiday has been somewhat elusive up until now, but 911sniper has gotten ahold of a leaked ROM that, if legit, shows some absolutely beastly specs for this upcoming AT&T monster. Check it out:
