For years now, we've been drooling over Sony's high-end hardware and gorgeous industrial design, only to be bummed since the phones rarely come to the United States. Sony and T-Mobile have a pretty good relationship, as evidenced by yesterday's announcement that the new Xperia Z3 would launch on the carrier in the US. But according to a recent post from PC Mag, Verizon may be getting some Sony phone hardware for the first time in years.
Update 10/20/14: As you may have already realized, the big Wear update hasn't come out yet. Delays do happen. According to several sources we've spoken to, Google will announce something soon, and the update likely got pushed to early November, possibly to coincide with the final Lollipop release.
Yep, you're reading this right: Android Wear 2.0. It's happening - and soon. According to an unnamed source, we're going to see OTA updates for some Wear devices on or around October 15th.
It's been less than six months since Sony announced the top-of-the-line Xperia Z2 back at Mobile World Congress, but it looks like the company may be ready to release yet another iteration at IFA in Berlin. A Facebook fan page (reported by the reliable XperiaBlog) posted photos of what looks a lot like the next Xperia superphone, the Z3. A sticker on the device includes specifications, though there's no way to confirm them.
The low-cost Ouya game console got a big start a few years back when it raised more than $8 million on Kickstarter. When the console actually came out in mid-2013, the results were less than impressive. Ouya has gone through a number of changes since then, but now Recode is reporting that it has entered acquisition talks with a number of companies in the US and China.
Earlier last month, we posted an exclusive story about Google's explorations into a product called "Workshop," which would allow users to customize snap-on cases and live wallpapers for their Nexus phones. The effort would be a major step-up in what has historically been an inconsistent lineup of accessories for Google's devices.
From information made available to us, it appears Google plans to continue upping the offerings when HTC's nine-inch Nexus tablet becomes official.

It's only a few short weeks until Samsung unveils the Galaxy Note 4, and rumor has it the Korean smartphone giant is swinging for the fences in hopes of regaining momentum. We've seen some images of what may be the Note 4, but specs have come in dribs and drabs. Now large Indonesian smartphone seller Erafone has posted a product page for the Note 4 with a full set of (possibly legit) specs.
We've heard rumor after rumor of Samsung's virtual reality headset in recent weeks, and according to the Verge the manufacturer is (as previous rumors suggested) set to unveil the device (codenamed Project Moonlight) at its upcoming Unpacked event in Berlin and New York, where Samsung is also expected to announce the Galaxy Note 4. What's more, the Verge has what appears to be a photo of the headset, next to a Samsung phone and Bluetooth controller.
If you're a Google Shopping Express user, you may have recently received an email requesting that you participate in a survey about the service. Among the questions were many about pricing, including one which displayed the following chart detailing plan pricing options for the quasi-beta delivery system. The survey asks, essentially, if you'd be OK with this sort of cost structure - $90 per year (or $8 a month) for unlimited free "regular" and alcohol deliveries over $15, and $8 per order (rather than per store) of refrigerated goods under $150.
