Just under an hour ago, the Redditor (using a throwaway or one-off account), posted the photo, claiming that the Samsung employee provided not only a photo, but some juicy details as well.

[Updated: LG Viper Too] Rumor: Sprint's Galaxy Nexus And LG Viper Poised For An April 15th Release

Going on a tip received from within Sprint's Product Development division, S4GRU, a site pretty well connected with Sprint's insiders, has reported that the third largest wireless network in the US is aiming to get the Samsung Galaxy Nexus on shelves beginning April 15th.

The mid-April date has been rumored for some time now, as it coincides with the end of Sprint's Data Storm contest, and several WiMax device promotions which end on or around April 14th.

[Analysis] Is Today's Galaxy SIII Leak The Real Deal? Probably Not

Today's suspected Galaxy SIII leak caused quite a stir in the Android community, of course sparking concerns over validity, likelihood that Samsung would choose such a form factor for the upcoming flagship, and just when we may see the real thing up close. A great summary of the leak on Reddit, and the subsequent comment thread got me thinking, though: just how likely is it that the leak is real?

Samsung has been holding on somewhat tightly to any details of its highly anticipated upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S III. We've heard a few ridiculous rumors here and there over the past several weeks, but today's "leak" looks to be the most believable thus far - either that, or a masterfully created hoax.

As pointed out in this thread on Reddit, there are many aspects of this leak worth pointing out, beginning with the biggest hints of all: the date in the calendar and location in the weather widget.

We'd heard whispers that the Galaxy S II might be getting an update to Android 4.0 on March 10th. After the announcement was immediately yanked from Samsung's site, we were skeptical. Hot on the heels of this weekend's LG Cayman (now called the Lucid 4G) and Droid Fighter release date leak comes rumors of yet another set of release dates for some new VZW hotness. This go around is a 16GB version of the Galaxy Nexus - presumably in both white and black - set to hit on April 4th for all those folks who are convinced that 32GB is just too much storage, or perhaps those who just can't justify the price tag but still want to get in on some of that Nexus action.

Samsung Says Galaxy S III Launch Date Rumors Are Untrue, Won't Even Confirm It's Called The Galaxy S III

It's always strange to see a company directly comment on rumors about its own products, but Samsung doesn't seem to take issue with it, as a statement they made to The Verge late last night confirms.

The latest speculation Samsung has cracked down on has been in regard to the Galaxy S III, stemming from a ZDNet Korea article that indicated the device would be unveiled next month. Here's the rough Google translation of the original tweet from Samsung's Korean arm regarding the issue:

[Please note] Some known through press releases Galaxy S3 4 월 stand is not true.

Yes, Key Lime Pie Is The Only Dessert That Starts With A "K," Jelly Bean Is Probable, And Version Numbers Are Anyone's Guess

Holy cow. The Android version name rumor-mill has been cranking at full steam for the last couple of months, and everyone seems pretty well-convinced that Jelly Bean is the chosen title for Google's next iteration of the mobile operating system. Way back in September, The Verge suggested that a "reliable source" had told them Jelly Bean was the real McCoy. Let's talk about what we know about Google's naming strategy so far with Android, and why anything but Jelly Bean would make almost no sense.

While HTC just officially announced the One X at Mobile World Congress and AT&T shotgunned exclusive rights in the U.S. to the beast for its LTE network (albeit packing a Krait chip instead of the Tegra 3), there's now a rumor floating around that Sprint could be getting a device similar to the One X, codenamed the Jewel.

Details on the Jewel are scarce right now, but rumor has it that the device is packing a large HD display (similar to the One X) and should be one of the flagship devices on Sprint's upcoming LTE network.
