If you're into the idea of a smartwatch but haven't quite been swayed by the current offerings, Samsung's Galaxy Gear is likely on your radar. If you thought that's the only watch tech to look forward to, however, think again. Word just broke that Google purchased a smartwatch manufacturer about a year ago, right under everyone's noses.
That manufacturer was called WIMM, and it created an Android-powered watch called the WIMM One. Read More
Are you stoked for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3? It's one of the most official unannounced products around, and information surrounding the massive handset continues to leak. It looks like we may now be able to pin down a launch date for the device, which Samsung is set to unveil early next month at its "Unpacked" event on September 4th. If the leak posted over at Engadget is to be trusted, the device should ship on September 16th, just a couple weeks after it's revealed. Read More

The 32GB Nexus 7 is still in short supply at a lot of retailers, including Abt Electronics. That's not stopping them, though. Abt is offering a good deal if you order a new 32GB Nexus 7 now with the understanding that it's backordered 2-4 weeks. If you move before before the end of the month, Abt will give you an instant $60 discount with free shipping. Read More

However, we did consider it an example of what a budget phone should be, and the sequel was an improvement in every area - except for price. Read More
We've really been drowning in app sales lately, which is probably an okay way to go. With the holiday weekend upon us, you'll probably have a little free time to loaf around and mess with your phone. So, let's find you some deals.
It has only been a couple of weeks since I wrote about the troubles with multi-touch (well, touch in general) on the 2013 Nexus 7. At the time, Paul Wilcox of Google's Product Support forum stated that the issue was being examined, and about a week later he confirmed that the JSS15Q update addressed the problem. While many people are reporting that the OTA has completely cleared up any touchscreen glitches that had been present, some people haven't seen any improvements, and still others are complaining that the problem has grown significantly worse. If you're old enough to remember NFL Blitz, or NBA Jam before it, you'll recall that in the 90s, these titles represented the height of sports-related absurdity. The Blitz series became watered down over time, but after separating from the NFL license, it brought back its over-the-top shenanigans in the mid-2000s, and the series continues to this day. But here's the thing, neither Blitz nor Jam have anything on the unrealistic mayhem that is on display in HeroCraft's upcoming title, FootLoL: Epic Fail League. Read More
