SoundSeeder 1.0 Arrives As A Single App With Lollipop Support, Landscape Mode, Linux And Windows Syncing, And More

SoundSeeder takes a bunch of Android devices lying around and turns them into a poor man's sound system by syncing audio playback across all of the phones and tablets so that they pump out tunes in unison. The app hit the Play Store in two parts last year, but now everything's bundled up into a single package. Not only that, it's now ready to shed its beta tag.

Samsung Milk VR Isn't A Drinking Simulator, It's A Repository Of 360-Degree Videos For The Gear VR

So, um, Samsung. You guys are really digging this "Milk" branding, huh? A music service, music videos, and now a virtual reality video system, all named after bovine lactation. And you're sticking with it despite the fact that "Milk" isn't nearly as internationally marketable as, say, "Samsung Music," and in the face of a trademark suit, no less. Well OK then, more power to you I suppose. Go ahead and go forward with "Milk VR."

Despite sounding like one of those sarcastic indie Simulator games that become inexplicably popular on Steam, Milk VR is in fact an extension of the existing Milk Video service.

Media Management App Mizuu Gets A v3.0 Material Makeover And Becomes Free

Usually, when an app gets a significant update with a new UI and whatnot, it does not come with a permanent reduction in price. Mizuu is a special case, apparently. This media management app has gotten a bump up to v3.0 with a UI revamp and some indexing tweaks, but it's no longer a paid app--the developer has decided to make it completely free.

A memory leak that has plagued some Android 5.0 users since the first developer preview has finally been marked closed and 'FutureRelease' in the Android issue tracker today.

The bug caused device memory to fill up and fail to clear, resulting in random crashes for memory-intensive applications that run in the background, like Play Music or even the launcher process. Needless to say - it was a deeply frustrating issue. Most persons affected seemed to either own Nexus 5s or Nexus 7s, though other devices may have fallen victim to it as well.
