Sprint Adds Small Updates To The Samsung Galaxy S III, Galaxy S5 Sport, And Galaxy Tab 4

If you have one of three Samsung devices on Sprint, you might just have an over-the-air update waiting for you in your Settings menu. But don't get too excited: not a one of them brings a new version of Android, or even more than one or two new visible features. The Galaxy S III and Galaxy S5 Sport (AKA the S5 Active) phones and the Galaxy Tab 4 (the 7-inch version) all have tiny additions to their software going out today.

[Update: Android One Nightlies, T-Mobile G3 (D851) Added] CyanogenMod Adds Official Support For Android One, Nexus 6, International LG G3 (D855)

Just a day after pushing Lollipop nightlies to over 30 devices for the first time, CyanogenMod has now added more devices to the fray: the gambit of Android One phones, the LG G3 D855 (international), and the Nexus 6. Android One devices, owing to the control over software and hardware that Google has in that program, share a single ROM under codename "sprout."

The New Materialized Falcon Pro 3 Is Live In The Play Store With Multi-Account Support, Smart Automatic Refresh, And More

Falcon Pro was one of the first big Twitter clients to fall victim to the API token limits imposed by Twitter, eventually leading the developer to remove it from the Play Store. Now just a few weeks after announcing a material redesign of the app, here it is. Falcon Pro 3 is available in the Play Store with a (very) limited free trial and in-app purchases for the full version.

Samsung Brings Its A-Series To The Big Screen Crowd With The 5.5-Inch Galaxy A7

If you're a fan of the direction Samsung has taken with the design of the Galaxy Alpha and Galaxy Note 4, you'll be happy to see the same notes show up in even more hardware. The new Galaxy A7 is a bigger brother to the previously-announced Galaxy A5 and A3, complete with its thin, minimal design and metal bezel and frame. The phone's 5.5-inch screen is the biggest in the series, and it's also in the same ballpark (at least in terms of size) as flagships from both Samsung and its competitors.

Update, January 11th, 2015: Verizon has issued another update alert for the Galaxy Note 4.4.4. This one also updates the phone to 4.4.4 and includes the same changelog, but for some reason the build number is changed to N900VVRUDNK1. LEGO's Ultra Agents Adventure Game Gets A Sequel Called 'Antimatter' - Still Free With No IAP

Ultra Agents isn't one of LEGO's better-known series - the Marvel and DC superheroes and other licensed sets like the LEGO Movie collection get more love. But as a natural extension of some of the more original building toys from the 80s and 90s, it's a nice change that lets the designers stretch their creativity a bit. LEGO brought Ultra Agents to Android last summer, and now they've brought the sequel as well.

BootUnlocker App Adds OnePlus One Compatibility In 1.6.1 Update

Using an unlocked bootloader on your phone or tablet is not safe. Don't do it. Unless you want root permissions, or the ability to backup and restore your software via a custom recovery, or you want to use a ROM that didn't come with your machine. These things don't make an unlocked Android device any safer, but they are pretty good justifications for unlocking your bootloader. If you'd like to have all that unlocked cake and metaphorically eat it too, the BootUnlocker app is your friend.

Mizuu Returns To The Play Store After Being Pulled By Google For Something It Could Have Just Asked Nicely About

It seems like we can't go a day without hearing about how the Play Store review process is broken and annoying. Earlier this week the media management app Mizuu was removed (again) without warning. Google sent a cryptic email like it usually does, but now the developer has all the details. Turns out Google just wanted to make sure the app was properly licensed to display movie data.

Motorola Connect Update Adds Watchface Customization Shortcut To Android Wear App

The Motorola Connect app isn't required to get use out of your Moto 360, but it is if you want to customize any of those watchfaces that come pre-installed on the device. The latest update doesn't remove that restriction, but it does allow you to hop straight to the tweaking stage from the Android Wear app directly. Take a look.

Left: old, Right: new.

As you can see in the shots above, an entry titled "Settings" has appeared in the menu between "Set on watch" and "Hide on watch."

Clicking this option shoots you out to the same customization page you would go to by navigating through Motorola Connect directly, so it does little more than give you a choice in how you get there.
