DashClock is definitely the flavor of the week. Developers are falling all over themselves to build extensions for this multi-talented clock widget, and here's an interesting one. Whether you use DashClock on your lock screen or home screen, the new DashClock Facebook Extension could save you all kinds of frustration.

This app is simple – it displays your unread messages and notification count on the DashClock widget so you don't have to pop open the Facebook app as often.

Gamers in the mid-90s might remember spending hour upon terrifying hour playing Hexen: Beyond Heretic. The technology might have changed, but now you can get reacquainted with the realm of Cronos in this port from the same developer that brought us the Doom and Heretic ports. However, this game only comes with demo files – you have to provide the genuine article.

Hexen GLS is still the game you remember, but it's been cleaned up a little around the edges.

As someone with approximately 1600 gadgets laying around the house at all times, I constantly have charging cables everywhere. On the floor. On the desk. On my nightstand. In the kitchen, living room, and even the car. You get the idea. For the longest time, I have used the binder clip trick to manage the flurry of chargers on my desk. But now, UDS – the creators of Capta and Vavo – have a better solution: Snable.

Well, here we go. This isn't the first Galaxy S IV rumor we've seen or heard over the last several weeks, but it's the first one that may actually hold water. The story actually started earlier today, when Eldar Murtazin of Mobile-Review pasted a somewhat cryptic message on Twitter about "a big announcement" coming on March 14th. He went on to mention something about HTC missing One sales again.

Last week, we took a look at the nominees for Ouya's 10-day developer competition, Create. Today, we have the winners! These game devs will receive some undisclosed amount of money (out of a pot of $45,000) and almost certainly end up on the launch version of the Ouya console. So, what are they? Well, let's break them down by category.

"Pop Your Eyes Out" Award: Pipnis

We covered this one in our roundup last week, though we're at a loss to explain how it didn't win the "Best Couch with Friends" Award.

Earlier today, we highlighted a couple of forthcoming OTA updates for Verizon's Droid Incredible 2 and Rezound. Looks like the company wasn't finished approving updates for the day, however, as it just pushed some info to its support docs about a new build set to hit the LG Spectrum.

While it's not a game changer, Spectrum owners can expect a few bug fixes and enhancements, including improved dialer performance, the ability to use the camera while on a call, a better keyboard, and an option to send all calls to voicemail.

PushBullet is a pretty clever but simple service that allows you to push text, links, files, and various other information from Chrome to your Android phone or tablet. Think of it like Chrome to Phone on steroids. We recently recovered the Android app's update to version 8, which allowed friends (other Google accounts) to push to your device.

Yesterday, the developer of PushBullet announced that an official API was being released, which should add all sorts of versatility to the already very-useful service.

As promised, Pixowl has launched their iOS hit The Sandbox on the Play Store. It's a free download for anything running Android 2.3 or later. Not to be confused with the open world sandbox genre (Grand Theft Auto and the like), this game is an almost literal sandbox. You're an apprentice deity, with the goal of combining elements into different pixelated constructions. Then go Old Testament and blow it up.

According to SamMobile, Samsung has begun the promised rollout of Android 4.1 to the original Galaxy Note, originally teased back in December.

The update brings much of the software functionality of the Note II, including multi-window mode, pop up video, and of course the many changes associated with Android 4.1 at large. The new software build number is JZO54K.

Commenters over at SamMobile are indicating the rollout has begun in Germany, which is quite typical of Samsung's OTA distribution practices.

If you've given up on the official app of The Weather Channel in lieu of other, better-looking solutions, it may be time to give it another shot. The app has received a major update today that finally modernizes its previously-dated UI, bringing it up spec with the Android design guidelines. You know what that means – it's Holo, baby!

Not only is the app 4.0+ optimized, but it also brings a new tablet-friendly interface, as well as a killer new feature that will tell you the exact time rain (or other less-than-ideal weather conditions) are going to hit your area.
