If you're not familiar with the 8-bit adventures developed by OrangePixel (see some of our past coverage here, and here), you should probably check them out. Their latest and greatest, Meganoid 2 - the sequel to their most popular title, Meganoid - just hit the Play Store.

Meganoid is inspired by the ultra-difficult (and ultra-fun) platformers on the 1980's and 90's. And yes, it's supposed to look like that.

If you've got fond memories of speeding through "don't call it Miami" Vice City to the sounds of a drugged-up Scottish hair band bickering in the back of your limousine, good news: you'll soon be able to take the experience with you. Grand Theft Auto developer Rockstar has announced that as part of the 10th anniversary celebration for GTA: Vice City, they'll be releasing mobile versions for both Android and iOS later this year.

Sprint-LG-Optimus-Elite-Virgin-mobile

If you have an Optimus Elite, it's time to hit that "check update" button - a brand-new software version (LS696ZVF) is headed out to devices this morning. It's definitely on the minor side, and no, it's not Ice Cream Sandwich. Honestly, if you have an Elite, you're probably going to be stuck in Gingerbread hell forever unless you're on a custom ROM. Anyway, here's the changelog:

- NFC driver permissions update
- Support for downloadable Sprint Direct Connect Now client from the Google Play Store
- “QuickMemo” LG application
- Sprint Connections Optimizer

Head over to the Sprint Community post to find out more.

At this point, there's no doubt that the Nexus 10 is a real thing - we've already seen the quick start guide (among other, more ambiguous data), after all. But now, Vic Gundotra has posted some images to his Google+ page showing off what the Nexus 10's camera is capable of. I must say, it's actually pretty impressive, especially for a tablet.

EXIF data reveals all! Or maybe just a little bit.

GALAXY Note II Product Image_Key Visual

U.S. Cellular customers, if you've been chomping at the bit to get your hands on the latest behemoth phone from Samsung, today's your day. The Note II is now available directly from the regional carrier's website, as well as in stores.

Of course, to grab the latest flagship from the Korean manufacturer, it's going to cost you. Three-hundred dollars worth of cost you, to be exact. You'll also have to commit to being exclusive with the provider for the next two years, but you probably already knew that.

apple-still-required-to-run-samsung-didnt-copy-us-ads-in-the-uk-after-appeals-ruling

After months of media hype and courtroom battles, Samsung was finally ordered to pay Apple $1.05 billion by a U.S. court a couple of months ago, for infringing the company's design patents. On the other side of the pond, however, things haven't been quite as clear cut, with a UK judge ordering Apple to publish ads stating that Samsung did not copy the iPad at all.

Today, Apple has posted a statement on its UK website saying just that, but its PR team has also taken the opportunity to say a few more words about Samsung as well.

Nuns with guns. That's the premise of the new title from Frima Studio, Nun Attack. OK, maybe it's not the entire premise, but it's a big part of it. There's also a story (because you can't just give nuns guns without a story).

Here's the gist: five sisters are good and holy, when one gives in to the dark side and becomes the Fallen Nun. Now it's your job to control the four remaining nuns and fight the unholy army raised by her wickedness.

As promised, the Galaxy Note II is now available for purchase on Sprint for $650 less a $350 instant rebate, for a total of $300. Though T-Mobile was first to the punch by a day, Sprint is offering it for a not-insubstantial $70 cheaper.

$300 may seem a bit steep for a smartphone, but keep in mind that this isn't your typical device. It's got a 1.6Ghz quad-core Exynos CPU, 2GB of RAM, LTE, 5.5" 1280x720 Super AMOLED Plus display, plus that infamous S Pen stylus to help you get the most from the ginormous screen.

What's the next best thing to visiting a theme park? If you said "designing one in a game," you're probably wrong. That doesn't mean it isn't fun at all, though. EA's newest game, predictably named Theme Park, lets you design the amusement park of your dreams.

The game follows the 'build it and they will come' mantra. You have to create attractions that will bring patrons to your park so you can make cash.
