As part of its Mobile World Congress presentation, Huawei officially unveiled its own entry into the wearable market with the TalkBand B1. There's no denying the device looks odd, but there's functionality hidden in its slightly weird-looking body. The display portion of the device actually pops out and can be used as a Bluetooth headset, while the band itself can be uncapped to reveal a USB connector for charging.

Following up on the announcement of the MT6595 (which will implement ARM's Cortex A17 announced earlier this month), MediaTek has announced the upcoming MT6732 SOC, targeted at what MediaTek is calling a new "super-mid market," aimed at providing a combination of cost efficiency and performance. MediaTek boasts that the arrangement supports low-power 1080p playback with the fledgling H.265 codec, Category 4 LTE, and plenty more.

Possible Samsung Galaxy S5 In Three Colors Spotted In Gear 2 Instagram Video

We're less than 24 hours away from Samsung's Unpacked 5 event in Barcelona, where the Galaxy S5 is expected to be the guest of honor. We'd also thought that the recently-leaked Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo (nee Galaxy) would be revealed there, but Samsung issued a press release instead. Now one Instagram video of the Gear 2 seems to have spilled the beans on the S5, at least in a mild way.

Well, This Was Unexpected – AT&T Now Pushing Android 4.4.2 To The LG G2

Apparently it's 4.4 day for AT&T – at least for owners of the HTC ONE or the LG G2. While we've been expecting the update to hit the former for a few days now, the latter comes as a surprise.

[MWC 2014] Lenovo Announces The YOGA Tablet 10 HD+, And It Actually Might Be Pretty Decent

Lenovo isn't really known for putting out the best Android tablets on the market, and last year's lackluster YOGA tablets are a perfect example of that. The design seemed nice, but both the eight and 10 inch versions of the device were simply lacking in the spec department. Lenovo is looking to change that stance this year with the all new YOGA Tablet 10 HD+, which takes what worked with the original's form factor and stuffs it full of mostly decent hardware.

[Rumor] Google's Smartwatch Might Be Made By LG And Headed For An I/O Release

Love it or hate it, the smartwatch is a category that seemingly every manufacturer still wants to conquer. No matter how many devices debut, and no matter how they perform, it seems there are those companies who still think that they have the right solution. According to TechCrunch, @evleaks, and others, Google is one such company, and plans to debut its own smartwatch before or during this year's Google I/O conference.

[MWC 2014] Hands-On With The LG G2 Mini: Why Does This Phone Exist?

Following in the footsteps of Samsung, HTC, and Sony, LG has announced a "mini" version of their G2 flagship, and they're showing the phone off here in Barcelona. The G2 Mini uses a smaller screen than the 5.2-inch G2, but it's also got considerably weaker hardware.

At 4.7 inches, there's nothing really "Mini" about this device, but you'll definitely notice the lower resolution on the LCD (960x540). The hardware inside is also less than inspiring, with just 1GB of RAM serving the 1.4Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 400.

[MWC 2014] Hands-On With The LG G Pro 2: Still Big, Still Fairly Unremarkable

LG's latest and largest handset was announced ahead of MWC last week in Korea, but for most of the world Barcelona will have marked its public debut. LG's rather unabashed Note competitor is back again this year, although the spec sheet won't exactly blow most people away - a 5.9" HD IPS panel, quad-core Snapdragon 800, 3GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera with OIS, and 3200mAh removable battery get high marks for high-end components, but do little to separate the G Pro 2 from a growing pack of mega-sized phones.
