Are you holding out for a stateside release of Sony's new flagship, the Xperia Z1? It appears hope may finally be on the horizon, at least if T-Mobile is an option for you. @evleaks just released a photo of what looks to be an Xperia Z1 headed to America's pinkest carrier, courtesy of a bit of T-Mobile branding along the bottom. Take a looksee.
We had some time with the Z1 back at IFA in September, but as seems to be the case with nearly every Sony phone lately, an American launch wasn't announced or even suggested at the time. Read More
It's easy to want six pack abs, but it's more difficult to actually get them. It's always been more enjoyable to consume calories than to lose them, but for many of us, it now takes less effort to find and consume food than to find space to conduct a decent workout. But with a tool like Runtastic's Six Pack Abs Workouts, you can exercise wherever you have enough space to lay out a yoga mat. Read More
A batch of images purporting to be from Android 4.4 running on a Nexus 5 have shown up online, and they confirm a lot of things we've been hearing. This isn't a complete rethinking of Android, but it looks like many parts of the UI will be tweaked this time around.
Starting with the lock screen, we can see a transparent status bar up top with white icons, now a staple of KitKat leaks. Read More
Another day, another set of leaked images exposing what we can expect to see in Android 4.4 "KitKat." These images sprung up on Tutto Android, a popular Italian Android blog, and they largely confirm the location-related changes we detailed yesterday. First, the current Location access screen will, presumably, simply be called Location. On this screen the checkboxes labeled GPS Satellites and Wi-Fi & mobile network location have been removed and are replaced with more simplified options that replicate the same functionality: High accuracy, battery saving, and device sensors. According to Yelp, "the stars have aligned" for its new release, bringing a much-anticipated feature and a few photo-related tweaks. The anticipated feature I mentioned is, as the title of this post suggests, the ability to publish reviews right from your phone using the "add review" button from any business page.
Previously, users could only draft reviews for publication later through Yelp's website. Now though, you can publish reviews on the go or in the heat of the moment, before ever leaving the establishment you're praising and/or criticizing! Read More
Rockstar Games has gifted the Play Store with "the official manual app for Grand Theft Auto V." The whopping 181MB app (which debuts at version 0.0.1) has over a hundred pages of literature on the expansive new entry in the infamous franchise, containing information on the game's dynamics, local neighborhoods, activities, game features, and an interactive map to explore when taking a break from the real game (or while exploring in-game if you're a multitasker). Themer Beta, a launcher replacement initiative by the team at MyColorScreen.com, has received a lot of attention in the last few weeks. And I mean a lot, as it currently has a waitlist of 280,000+ people strong. That's right, two hundred and eighty thousand.
The invites have so far been released in relatively small batches of a few thousand at a time, leaving the majority of those on the list waiting impatiently and scrambling to find a code or two to satisfy that Themer craving. Read More
