Japanese developer and publisher Natsume has announced that it's bringing the Harvest Moon franchise to Android for the first time. And this isn't a port of one of the many previous entries in the series. Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories will be a full-blown sequel.
Android isn't the only platform getting its first crack at a proper Harvest Moon release. The farming sim is also coming to the Wii U, PC, and iOS. Read More
If you're on the fence about a Nexus 6 or Nexus 9, Google's got a deal going this morning for both devices, though of different types. The Nexus 6 is $150 off on all models, bringing the 32GB version down to $499 and the 64GB to $549. The deal doesn't have a stated expiration, but "save $150" does seem to imply it's probably temporary, as part of a larger father's day promo. Read More
Android's share menu has always been useful and extensible, but Android M will make it even more handy with the addition of direct share. This is a set of APIs that will let developers specify sharing targets deeper inside their apps. So instead of sharing that photo to Hangouts, for example, you might be able to share it to a specific contact in Hangouts in a single tap.
Can you have too many USB ports? That depends. Is eight too many? If your answer is a resounding no, then now is a good time to pick up a OctoFire USB charger on Amazon. The device that lets you and your buddies charge four short of a dozen gadgets has reached a new low of $32.

Last month HTC released a little app into the Play Store that provides one way for its devices to connect to other electronics in the home. Today it's uploading one that's all about hooking up to cars. HTC MirrorLink is the manufacturer's app for letting its phones connect to vehicles using, you guessed it, MirrorLink.
When you connect your HTC phone to a MirrorLink-enabled infotainment system using a cord, you will be able to navigate the device using your car's dashboard buttons. Read More
It has become accepted fact that Imgur is the best way to host images on the internet. Stop it with that Photobucket nonsense already. The official Imgur Android app has existed for a while, but it wasn't an ideal experience. Now with today's v2.0 update, it should be much better.
You have two options when you sign up for Project Fi. You can buy a SIM card with a new Nexus 6. Or you can just buy the SIM card and stick it in your own Nexus 6. Want to use another phone? You can, as long as you tether it to a Nexus 6. A Project Fi SIM has to go into a Nexus 6.
For the time being, that eliminates a sizable chunk of interested consumers. Read More
Do you like your phone to be almost the size of a tablet? Are you of the opinion that all phone names sound better with the word "Nexus" in them? Is "6" the best number you can think of to put in a phone name? If you answered yes to those questions and you don't already have Google's latest flagship phone, then we have the giveaway for you.
Many moons ago, LG had promised the release of an official bootloader unlock tool for its G3, but the company didn't make good on its word. It seems that the plans were never forgotten though, because LG's Developer site got a new "Unlock Bootloader" page that does just that, except it's not for the G3 (yet).
While bootloader unlocking is quite easy on Nexus devices, almost all other Android phones and tablets suffer from tightly locked bootloaders that require a bit of tinkering to get access to. Read More
I never thought I'd live to see the day when BBM adopted an actually decent design on Android. I remember using the messaging service when it first came out on our platform, and it was a horrid experience from the tiny emojis to the clunky interface to the fact that everything didn't look right on Android. But BBM has been improving over the past months, adding Android Wear support, a landscape mode, message retraction, and more. Read More
