The time has come to turn out your pockets and support developers and charity at the same time. In return you get some great Android games on the cheap. The Humble Mobile Bundle 6 is now available with six games split into the customary two tiers.

So maybe you haven't picked up one of those fancy new Shield Tablets yet—no worries, the original Shield portable is getting a nice little update to release 82. The OS is still based on Android 4.4 KitKat, but this is the biggest update Shield has seen in a while. It should be available for download now.

The official WordPress app for Android got a significant bump to version 3.0 today. Users who host a free blog on WordPress.com will see the greatest benefit from the added features, but just about everyone will see something new, and the bug fixes don't hurt either. The app doesn't have much to show in the user interface department, though it's been pretty solid since the Holo redesign in any case.

First of all, you should now be able to swipe left and right to advance or go back between individual posts in the "View site" option on the sidebar.

Amazon is currently offering the Wi-Fi version of its 32GB Kindle Fire 8.9 for $299.99, a discount of $130. For an extra 15 bucks, you can get the variant without ads (excuse me, special offers) instead. The discount applies to both, and it's valid for only today.

Other variations of the tablet are also going at discounted rates, though they don't compare to the $130 savings we see on the aforementioned model.

Tucked into the end of an otherwise unremarkable promo video for the G3 Beat is a fleeting glance of a new, unannounced variant of LG's latest flagship device. The phone is unapologetically labeled the G3 Stylus. It looks identical to the G3 save for a slightly larger screen and, well, a stylus. This is the first we've heard of this particular phone, though it's hardly a surprising addition to the lineup.

So here you are on another Monday, the week stretching out before you into infinity. Will Friday ever arrive? Maybe and maybe not. Until we find out, you can occupy yourself with these apps and games, which are on sale for a pittance. They won't alter the flow of time to make it Friday, but at least you'll save some money.

Sometimes the secret to success is to pick one thing and do it well. You could easily make the presumption that "image editing" may count as a thing, but in this case, think even more specific. Over is an app that specializes in letting users place text or basic artwork on top of their photos.

Seriously, that's all it does. And it's done it well enough to attract millions of users on iOS and, according to TechCrunch, a million in funding (which the developer reportedly turned down).

Exfm had an interesting take on music discovery based on scanning blogs for MP3s that could be imported into a cloud-based player. Things seemed to be going fine as the company launched apps, plugins, and an API. Then it abruptly shut down in January. The company has hinted in the interim that something was going to happen, and now we know what's up—Exfm is being bought by Rhapsody.

TalonIcon

Talon updates often come with big changelogs, and version 2.6 is no exception. Klinker Apps has managed to cram quite a bit of enhancements into this release. The top items concern changes to the appearance, such as a new app icon, a tweaked compose window, and two downloadable open source themes inspired by the "L" preview version of Talon. These are joined by an "L" Roboto font option under settings that, unlike the themes, doesn't require installing anything extra.
