Share Your Dropbox Files Directly In Facebook Messenger

Facebook's Developer Conference is scheduled to start today so this is probably one of many bits of Messenger and Facebook news you'll read in the next 48 hours. Dropbox just announced that it now integrates in Messenger to allow you to share any media files or documents from your cloud to friends and group chats.

If you already have the Dropbox app installed on your phone, you'll see it as a source for sharing under Messenger's "More" menu just like in the first screenshot above. You can then browse your Dropbox files, pick the one to share, and send it. If it's an image, gif, or video, it will be immediately embedded and previewed inside the conversation.

LiveSoccer 3.0 Launches In Time For Euro 2016 With A Contest To Win Great Prizes

For those of us who watch real football, the one played with feet and no helmets (what you Yanks call soccer), a well-known app has received an update. LiveSoccer, one of the most popular football apps in the Play Store, has launched version 3.0, bringing a host of new features, including user and club profiles, 'Predict Match results,' and contests, points, and leaderboards. Sadly the app is still holo, though.

The team profiles show useful information, such as season statistics, a calendar for upcoming matches, the latest scores, a full squad list, and any details, such as phone number or website.

Twitter Is Testing A More Material Version Of Its App With Tabs And A FAB

The Twitter app has gone through many, many incarnations. Not only have there been plenty of official redesigns, Twitter often tests UI tweaks using server-side switches. That's the case now as a new, more material interface appears to be rolling out to users (see above). It has tabs, a proper nav menu, and even a floating action button (FAB).

[Update: Added M5C14J] AOSP Changelogs Posted For April's 6.0.1 And 5.1.1 Security Updates

The factory images are up–some of them–so it's time to take a peek under the covers to discover any changes made to the Android Open Source Project for April's security updates. To make this a bit easier, we've generated changelogs based on the commit history that was just posted to AOSP last night.

As you might expect, the majority of the changes are going to be related to the issues set forth in the April Security Bulletin. A few others appear to be relatively small bug fixes, but nothing jumps out at me as a change that will directly affect user experience or any particularly noticeable bugs.

[Deal Alert] Huawei Watch + Black Leather Band + Mesh Band = $300 At Newegg (More Than $100 Off)

The Android Wear device that is most likely to eat one of my future paychecks is the Huawei Watch. It's beautiful, in my eyes at least, and it's the most traditional looking Android Wear watch yet. The problem is the thing is so dang expensive. The mesh band model (my personal favorite) still retails for $400 bucks at Amazon and Google.

The good news is that Newegg has it on sale for less right now, quite a bit less in fact at $300. The model on sale is the one with a stainless body with the black leather strap, but Newegg is also throwing in the classier (and more expensive) silver mesh band for free.

[Deal Alert] Epic War Tower Defense 2 Is A 4.3 Star Game With Excellent Graphics And No IAPs, Today You Can Buy It For $0.10

Ten cents. What can you buy at the store with ten cents? Nothing. You can't even buy a Tootsie Roll Pop for that price, those suckers cost at least a quarter now! You might not be able to buy any physical goods for a dime these days, but today you can buy an awesome game with mechanized warfare for that price. The game I'm talking about is Epic War Tower Defense 2 by developer AMT games.

Epic War TD 2 has been out for a little over a year now, so it's likely this sale is a just a way for the developer to drum up interest for a new title by getting naïve tech bloggers to write about the steep discount in an...

Genymobile Launches Genymotion Cloud, An Android Emulator Platform For Advanced Collaboration, Automated Testing, And More

The name Genymobile is well-known throughout the Android development community for building a very fast and efficient emulator before it was cool. Today, Genymobile announced an ambitious new direction for the technology: Genymotion Cloud. Tagged as the first cloud-based Android emulator, Genymotion Cloud is targeted at business and enterprise customers with some big new collaboration and automated testing features.

An Android emulator remains at the heart of Genymotion Cloud, but as the name implies, the emulators are running remotely. The idea here is that it's possible to set up an instance for use in a wide variety of ways.
