Wi-Fi Tether For Root Users V3 Lands In The Play Store, Grab It While You Still Can

Almost one full year ago, carriers threw the gauntlet down on tethering applications in the Play Store. Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile were among the first to lay down the banhammer, with Sprint following soon after.

Here we are, a year later and guess what? Version 3 of the infamous Wi-Fi Tether for Root Users app just hit the Play Store, sans carrier restrictions. Of course, this is only because carriers haven't yet found out about the app; when they do, however, you better believe its availability will quickly be laid to rest - so you better grab before it's gone.

HTC One X (Tegra 3) Review: It Does Everything But Make You A Sandwich (Coming In Android 5.0)

In recent memory, there are only 2 phones I've been as excited to lay my hands on as the One X, and those are the Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy S II. There's a good reason for my excitement: this is the first phone to pack Nvidia's excellent Tegra 3 CPU. And that's just the tip of the iceberg, really; other touted features - such as the amazing unibody design, ultra high-quality camera, and beautiful screen - help build upon that excitement.

Samsung Announces 1.4GHz Exynos 4 Quad: A Quad-Core Processor Destined To Power The "Next Galaxy Smartphone"

Completely out of the blue Samsung has officially outed its next generation system-on-a-chip (SoC). The Exynos 4 Quad is very much what it sounds like: an updated version of the previous dual-core Exynos chip with four cores instead of two. Each core will be clocked to 1.4GHz, much like the last generation, and it is still going to be based on ARM's Cortex-A9 architecture.

Exy 4

I expected that Samsung would be moving to Cortex-A15 to more adequately compete with Snapdragon S4 and its Krait cores.

[Deal Alert] Expansys USA Drops Unlocked Galaxy Nexus To $399.99, Beats Google By Almost $50 With Free Shipping And Lack Of Tax

Just yesterday, Google started selling the Galaxy Nexus on its Play store. The news caught many off guard - not only had Google not done anything of the sort for quite some time, but the price ($399) was surprisingly low for an unlocked, contract-free device. Unfortunately, however, there was a catch: namely, the gadget was still subject to all the usual taxes and shipping fees (at least in all the states we tested - CA, TX, KY, MN, and likely many others), bringing the total cost up by almost $50.

Samsung Galaxy S III Makes A Cameo In Kies, Confirms GSIII Name And GT-I9300 Model Number

Well, what do you know - another Galaxy S III leak! Only this time, it's directly from the source. You see, the Galaxy S III has made an appearing in Samsung's own program used to manage its mobile devices, called Kies.

GS3-3 GS3-4

This basically verifies two bits of information: the device name and model number. There have been rumors that Samsung may call it something different and make it more of an incremental upgrade to the S II, but unless there's a change of heart between now and the release, it looks like it's officially going to be called the GSIII.
