Leak: Alleged Images Of The LG Nexus Show Up On XDA Forums

We've been hearing rumors about an LG Nexus for a while now. At first, we were skeptical. However, as the evidence piles up, we're becoming increasingly convinced that this rumor is indeed legit.

Now, a set of photos have surfaced over at the XDA forums that appear to seal the deal.

The first thing you'll probably want to check out in the above shots is the About screen. The device is running Android 4.1.2 and is dubbed "mako," which just so happens to be a type of shark, keeping it in line with the naming scheme of all previous Nexus devices.

More Android 4.2 Rumors Surface: Customization Center, Project Roadrunner, Updated Google Now And Play Store

The rumor mill is going strong with Nexus hearsay now, and Android & Me is currently leading the pack with details about the upcoming version of Android and at least one of the devices that will run it. Thanks to "an inside source" A&M is reporting more details about the "customization center," updates to Google Play and Now, and a new feature called "Project Roadrunner" that we haven't previously heard of.

Image Of The LG Optimus L9 With T-Mobile Branding Shows Up Online

Hot on the heels of AT&T and Sprint announcing their respective variants of the powerhouse Optimus G, the @EVLeaks Twitter account has posted an image of the Optimus L9 with T-Mobile branding.

For those who may not be familiar with the L9, it's a mid-ranger that was announced back at the end of August:

  • 4.7" IPS display
  • 1GHz dual-core processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 4GB storage
  • Android 4.0

Of course, we can't guarantee that the T-Mobile variant will house the same guts, but it's unlikely that they'll change it up too much.

On the software side, the L9 also features a proprietary translation app that LG claims can translate up to 44 different languages using the device's camera.

HTC One X+ For T-Mobile Shows Up On Blurrycam, But Is It Just Giving False Hope?

The now-infamous @evleaks has leaked yet another upcoming smartphone today, this time a T-Mobile-branded version of what is dubbed the HTC "One X+." This phone has been rumored for some time, and even shown up in some Incredible-esque regalia, adding to the rumor that it's headed for Verizon.

This phone, though, looks exactly like a standard One X, and without any sort of scale, you probably can't tell the difference.

Don't get too excited, though, because this phone may never come to pass.

According to TmoNews, there is ample internal confusion at T-Mobile as to whether the One X+ will actually be released.

[Leak] First Images Of The Verizon Galaxy Note II Show Up Online, And It Has Branded Home Button

We already know that the Galaxy Note II will be making its way to Big Red eventually, and we assumed it would look identical to the international version. And it basically does, according to some leaked images that showed up today. Only, it has Verizon branding in places that no phone should ever have carrier branding of any kind: on the home button. I really hope this is a test design.

It's not that anyone should be ashamed that they're on Verizon, but, personally, I think the huge "Verizon 4G LTE" logo on the back is sufficient branding. Clearly, the folks at Big Red do not share my sentiments.

Leak: Sprint 4G LTE Will Be Lighting Up In Boston And Chicago In The Next Week

According to an internal document sent to us by a tipster, Sprint will be turning on the four-gee taps in two major US cities this week - Boston and Chicago. As we know, Sprint is in something of a panic-mode in regard to its 4G rollout, and has decided to begin bringing its network online in some locations before it's fully ready. As you can see in the document below, that is exactly what's happening here.

While Sprint isn't ready to call it "launch" time, it's telling employees that they should be informing customers that 4G coverage is being rolled out, and is accessible in "certain areas," but that the experience may not be "optimal." This basically lines up with a press release Sprint sent out earlier this week, which stated that LTE may be available in some regions before an official launch, and that customers are "free to use it" (read: don't complain if it sucks).

System Dumps Leak For The Sprint And AT&T Galaxy Note II Variants

Today is just full of juicy info about US variants of the Galaxy Note II! Earlier today we saw confirmation that Verizon will be getting its own version of the device, thus completing the circle of the Big Four. Now, system dumps for both the AT&T and Sprint versions have leaked, giving developers a chance to take a closer look at various parts of the systems before the actual release, and possibly port the ROMs to other devices.

The Circle Is Complete: Galaxy Note II For Verizon Pops Up In Screenshot, Model SCH-I605

BriefMobile has received a screenshot this morning that would seem to confirm the existence of a Verizon-flavored Galaxy Note II, rounding out the phone's appearances on each of the US's "big four" carriers.

Last week, we saw the device leaked for T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T. We had figured, at that point, that Verizon wouldn't be getting the device. Particularly because it's selling the LG Intuition, which is the Note II's one and only phablet (shudder) competitor here in the US.

The screenshot shows the model number as SCH-I605, SCH being the Verizon prefix for Samsung smartphones.

In the form of some additional possible confirmation, a quick search of Flickr yielded one image taken by an SCH-I605, though it's just a blank shot.

Official Jelly Bean Test OTAs Leak For The Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 And Galaxy Note 10.1

The crew over at SamMobile have gotten their hands on some nice treats for Tab 2 7.0 and Note 10.1 owners: builds of Android 4.1.1 for both devices. Of course, these aren't finalized builds, but rather a first look at what Jelly Bean will be like on the aforementioned tablets.

Both versions are OTAs flashable via Odin on top of specific stock builds.

Leak: ZTE Warp Sequent Headed To Boost Mobile With Vanilla Android 4.0, May Be Grand X IN Variant

In a tweet earlier this evening, the recently resurrected evleaks Twitter account revealed what may be a variant of ZTE's Intel-powered Grand X IN phone which we saw at IFA 2012 headed for Boost Mobile.

It's definitely worth noting, though, that this ZTE Grand X IN (if that is what we're looking at) is a tad different from the original. Most notably, it appears to be running vanilla Android 4.0 rather than ZTE's own custom overlay.
