Droid-life has gotten its hands on some leaked Verizon employee training materials, and they reveal the existence of something called "VZ Edge" - what can only be described as Verizon's four-letter answer to T-Mobile's new Jump upgrade plan. The gist is this: Verizon will allow you to upgrade your phone every 6 months, with strings attached. Here's what we know so far.

Edge is part of Verizon's existing device payment plan program.

Google+ user Дима Прокопенко has just given us a tantalizing, more complete look at the Moto X, posting a Rogers "Tech Experts" demo video that shows off some of the hotly-anticipated device's unique features.

Before we get to features, it's worth noting that the video indicates a Rogers launch "in August," as an exclusive for the Canadian carrier.

The video also shows off the Moto X's always-on voice commands, allowing users to query Google Search with their voice regardless of whether they're in the search app.

In what PhoneArena calls a "leaked internal memo," launch dates for the Verizon versions of the HTC One and the upcoming Moto X are allegedly revealed - August 1st and August 23rd, respectively. It also adds to the growing pile of evidence that the Moto X will be coming to Verizon sans-DROID branding. Is there any reason to take stock in this rather generic looking document, though?

My gut leaning is "yes," but there are caveats to leaked internal communications like these.

Motorola has new phones for Verizon coming very soon, in case you hadn't heard. We've already seen a pretty convincing leak of the DROID MAXX, a Kevlar-cloaked updated version of Moto's DROID RAZR MAXX HD. Leakster extraordinaire Evleaks just posted another press shot, this time showing off the DROID Mini (or possibly MINI) next to the DROID Ultra and the nearly identical DROID MAXX with a bigger battery. The Mini and Ultra are assumed to be updated versions of the DROID RAZR M and DROID RAZR HD, respectively.

In what is bound to be the first of many more multi-photo leaks over the next month, Engadget has gotten its hands on an extensive set of snaps of the upcoming LG Optimus G2. Behold the imagery below, and read on for our take. The G2 has been previously leaked on multiple occasions, most recently in some video screencaps depicting LG's next flagship. LG also hasn't been shy on acknowledging the device's existence, teasing its Snapdragon 800 processor and August 7th launch event.

Here it is, ladies and gentlemen, the next DROID. Again. After being revealed in white over the weekend, along with the face of its MAXX sibling on Friday night, the Ultra is all but officially Verizon's next big thing to wear the caps lock-enhanced, Lucasfilm-licensed DROID moniker. And it's a thing of... well, not beauty. Beauty really isn't the right word. It's a thing of carbon fiber Kevlar (thanks for pointing that out), and I'll let you draw your own aesthetic conclusions on that basis.

Motorola is likely going to take the wraps of a new generation of DROIDs for Verizon Wireless soon, which would explain the recent leaks. The newest photo reportedly depicts the DROID Ultra (XT1080). There are a few interesting things going on here.

Firstly, this device has a strange black chin at the bottom. It looks like a shadow at first, but you can make out the faint pattern of Motorola's beloved kevlar material on it.

The upcoming DROID MAXX for Verizon Wireless has been rumored for a while now, but @evleaks has just posted an image of the device. Here it is in all its glory.

The design doesn't look like a radical departure from past Verizon DROIDs made by Motorola. It looks a bit closer to the RAZR M than the DROID RAZR MAXX HD, though. The kevlar texture wraps around a bit and the corners aren't as pointy.

Two days ago, we reported on the rumored existence of a new Galaxy S4 iteration with LTE-Advanced support headed to Korea. It seems that device has been all but confirmed today, thanks to a leaked user manual with device specifications found by Japanese blog rbmen.

The device, known as model number SHV-E330, contains an MSM8974 CPU, which will be the first Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC to debut in handsets later this year.

Galaxy-S4-Zoom

SamMobile published an image this afternoon that really kind of explains itself: this is, purportedly, the Galaxy S4 Zoom. The concept is obviously pretty simple - it's a Samsung smartphone with a big-ass camera mounted on the back. Don't get your hopes too far up on the smartphone aspect, though, as even SamMobile is tempering expectations on the specifications. Allegedly, the S4 Zoom will be packing a 4.3" qHD display, dual-core 1.6GHz processor (likely a Qualcomm chip), 8GB of internal storage (with microSD slot, of course), and Android 4.2.2.
